  6. Hi we are looking at moving to Austrailia very soon we have spoke to the embassy and they said to go on my partners application as its the best bet with experience in jobs etc.My partner is a hairdresser can we move to any part of Austrailia if we are going for a full resident. We have family on the gold coast and would prefer to be over that way
  7. Hi that would be me you spoke to lol.i wrote that before i spoke to the bureau.the way they do things in austrailia is different.my mate is a plumber and he works out there and says its easy.the regs are different and are recognised but not by the employer you get them converted to there quals
  8. I can see myself going on my partners trade to be honest Rupert she has the experience and will be going the skilled migration route
  9. I did night school for 2 years doing city and guilds 6129.Its still a qualification but it was done in college so you will need work experience. My missus has 7 years behind her in the salon industry not as a hairdresser, she has done level 1,2 and is doing level 3 this september. So with no experience with quals if this makes sence she needs 8 years with out her level 3.But if my missus does a year getting her level 3 it will be 8 years still with not alot of experience but for some reason it all counts for how long she has been doing it for.Its a strange way of doing things and im not completley sure why it is the way it is.I need 3yrs in the trade so ive been told by the bureau but i need to check, but as it stands my missus is the stronger one right now for the application.Im a hgv driver at the minute but gona go into the plumbing trade this year.So when we end up in Oz i will either carry on trucking or as a plumber.Imo you always need something to fall back on work wise.
  10. Is the company you work for based in the uk ans austrailia.
  11. Hi ive missed read the email that i got from the bureau. My missus has done 7yrs in the hair dressing industry not at a salon. She has done her level 1 and level 2 and starts her level 3 this september. The bloke from the bureau said my missus needs 8yrs experience in the trade if she doesnt do her level 3 so she only needs a year.My missus is going for a job in the saloon this year which is good. For my self I did 2 years at night school training as a plumber im sure the email said i need 3 years in the trade on my level 2 but i need to confirm.Im currently a hgv driver. With the country being the way it is and people getting laid off left right and centre im going to have to go self employed to gain my experience,my missus seems to be stronger for the application right now.The thing that gets me is on the skills list there listing a general plumber which is level 2,level 3 would be gas which is something different altogether.Im sure i read some where that plumbers have gone over with minimal qualifications.I no people that have done there aprenticeship at college doing there level 2 as an aircon engineer and they have gone over no problem. If i carnt go on the application based on me im going to have to go on my partners application instead and either continue plumbing in Oz or carry on trucking.
  12. How did you go a out getting sponsorship ?im a newly qualified plumber so i need to get some experience yet unless i get lucky.
  13. Has any one of this forum gone to Austrailia on a 457 visa and did it work out for you
  14. Have any of you moved to oz on just a level 2 nvq im a plumber and wondering whats needed
  15. Hi is there more than one company that does the points test for OZ.I did the points test and we passed no problem. The same company gave us an email and we replied and he asked us for are cv.We emailed the cv over for both of us my other half has just done her level 1 and level 2 diploma as a hair dresser and ive just qualified as a plumber level 2 city and quilds.Any way we got an email back saying we need to do an NVQ3 so my thoughts are hair dressers and other trades people have gone over just on level 2 so whats this about then?i think there is some thing wrong here.I was told over the email that my family in oz couldnt sponsor us unless we had a trade. And the quickest way over to oz was on a 457 visa sponsored by an employer and its cheaper.I think something isnt right here and has anyone had any problems like this and is there another company i can do a points test with? or some one who can help.
  16. Hi im doing plumbing. My level 2 was goverment funded which was good
  17. Hi ive just finished 2 years at night school doing plumbing. Its not and nvq its just a city and guilds qualification.Im starting my 3rd year nxt week .My other half is also at college doing hair dressing. My other half has done level 1 diploma, level 2 diploma and is doing her 3 nvq.My auntie and uncle live in austrailia and moved there 20yrs ago, i was there in 2010 and 2011 for family visits and they said they would sponsor us which i dont no whats involved or how to go about it or how much it is to be sponsored. To me this all new and black and white.Im gonna do some work for my self to get some experience in the trade while im still at college.
