Hang around for next year and you can join Johns fan club!
-
I thought @shirleyt may have kidnapped you, glad to see you are back online, I was a little worried there lol.
Did contemplate it but didn't think it appropriate with husband and kids in tow!
-
Jake will be devastated, he took a fancy to her on my Facebook lol  Looks like everyone had a great time!
Always nice to be popular but I think I'm old enough to be Jakes mother!?
-
Shirley I hope you weren't chatting up John lol
As you can see from the photos, I couldn't keep my hands off him!
-
Thank you for a lovely afternoon, John and Kate! It was lovely to put faces to all the names!

It was great to meet up with you Stacey and I can't wait to hear all about your life on the road with Jake!
-
Just me and Oprah down Matilda bay next week then! Good luck Stacey, see you in February at the meet up!
-
Ok , thanks Ali! Oprahs in town next weekend, might drop her an invite to bump up the numbers!lol
-
I did tell you not to judge it midweek as the place comes to life at the weekends!
-
You found it then? Is the hostel living up to expectation, so far? Get ourself out tonight and hand out those CVs. I think Fremantle would be a much nicer place for you to stay and work for a few months rather than being stuck out in the outback, especially through the summertime!
-
You can superimpose my ginger head on a supermodels body, cheers!
Come to the meet up and I'll photoshop us all in bikinis with a six pack!
-
As most of you know by now Scottish Stacey AKA Quokka has arrived in Perth. We're having a Poms meet up at Matilda Bay on Sunday 6 th December from midday. Bring a picnic or a barbie and come and join us. The more the merrier. We will be to the right hand side of the cafe( when facing the river). There's a slight chance Stacey won't be able to make it (if she disappears off to the Wheatbelt) but she'll do her best to make it. If that's the case we will still have the meet up and we can superimpose her on the photos!Lol
-
Yes, will do! If Stacey is working, I'm sure we'll forgive her for choosing money over a meet up!lol
-
Haha probably nobody lol everyone will be washing their hair
Keep telling you have confidence, you're famous round these parts! Or it may just be me and you but at least you get to meet the family!

Think it time to organise Stacey's welcome party/ Poms in Perth Christmas meet up. How's Sunday 6 th December at Matilda bay for a picnic/ Barbie at midday? Nice view, plenty of shade, kids can splash around in the water and play ball games. Who's coming?
-
Yeah where's my welcome party that I was promised ages ago?!
Well i officially survived northbridge. Can someone pass the message on to perthbum
I only went for a quiet dinner and some Ben and jerrys Icecream and I ended up trapped in by a gay pride parade. It was a bit interesting to watch. Before I knew the parade was on I just assumed northbridge was a bit different lol. Someone sprayed their dog all different rainbow colours, poor thing!
Ive had too much to eat. I feel like I'm pregnant with twins Must be the only backpacker that goes out and comes back at 9 lol
You should have come up to kings Park to listen to The Beach Boys!
-
Omg thank you Shirley!
Yep, that's the one! Not too shabby hey? Might be able to sort you some temp accommodation till you can make friends and arrange a house share! I'll PM my number to you!

My son works at Clancys on City Beach and I've just asked him about a job for you. He said they are taking on waiting staff at the moment and to pop in with a CV. They're are plenty of other people on WHV and plenty of socialising from what I can make out! City beach is between Cottersloe and Floreat Beach. You could spend your days staring out on Rotto! Living the dream!

Welcome to Perth, I'm sure you'll love it. Shame you weren't here last weekend as Prince Charles was visiting. He took the time to chat and shake most people's hands.
You've provided me with much entertainment over the months so I'm more than happy to play tour guide till you settle in. I've been here since last September and absolutely love it. Im in Churchlands which is western suburbs, 10 mins from CBD. PM to arrange something! Best of luck!

We are staying in a short term rental in Mindarie, Perth but are moving into our long term rental in Churchlands which I'm looking forward to as it means the kids can start school. We've just been out today to buy a car as the hire car runs out on Friday. It's crazy, the amount of things that need to be sorted in the first couple of weeks!

A great arrival report, we too have been here for two weeks and although it's a big shock to the system, are loving it! Glad your dogs have arrived safely !

Safe journey Stacey, I'm sure you'll be back one day. The foreshore at South Perth, won't be the same without you.
