YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Visa subclass 100 granted today!
I'm sooooooooo unbelievably happy, it took just over 3 months!
-
Huge congratulations Peach! About bloody time too!
-
My god, thats gone up! Or does it depend where you have it done? I went to the knightsbridge doctors at the beginning of april for my medical and it was £232 which was bad enough!
-
Mine just all went in an envelope together, one big pile!
Have also found out today as we are flying on 23rd July, that my application will be finalised in the second week of July.
-
Can I ask the initials of your CO?
WP, who's yours?
-
Does your CO know that? Because I had the 'between 8/5 and the 8/6' quote from mine and only got it on the very last day! Not to scare you or anything! But a while back in this thread we had a discussion about how letting them know flight dates did seem to bump it along for some people. Even though they tell you not to book flights!
Yeah we sent off our flight details as part of our evidence and we also talked about it in a previous email.
I'm waiting for another reply from her so I'll see what she says.
-
Well I've had a reply from my CO saying my application will be finalised between 23rd June and 23rd July, it had better be closer to June as we fly out n 23rd of July! How am I supposed to validate my visa if I don't have it!
-
Excuse the ignorance, but I thought everyone was given temp residence for 2 years, and then PR....
How does this differ?
Sorry if this is a stupid question.
When you apply for a spouse visa you are automatically applying for 309/100, both temporary and permanent. Depending on what info you send and your relationship history and whether or not you are married and have children determines what subclass you will get.
I have been married for 6 years this month and have 2 kids and have been told I will get a permanent visa.
Best of luck!

Thats what I thought, it's been a month since our last contact so it can't hurt.
Email has been sent!
-
It's been 11 weeks so far, should I send my CO an email? Would really like to know how far off I am!
-
It then takes around a month from the date of your medical for them to be sent and acknowledged at Australia House.
Blimey, how come yours took so long?
Mine was done on the tuesday and received by Aus house on the friday, 3 days as told by the receptionist.

Does anyone know if or where I can buy tinned roasted chestnuts, I want to make my grandmothers chestnut stuffing for christmas but all I can find are water chestnuts! Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm also after some bread sauce mix if anyone knows who sells this although I might just end up making it.
TIA
