We are on a 457 Visa and we are in the process of selling our house in the UK. Once the sale has completed, we want to transfer the proceeds to Oz. Does anyone know if there are tax implications on the proceeds ? And any advice on the best way to transfer large sums from the UK. Thank you.

When do I need to start getting her vaccines and paperwork etc etc ? I'm just conscience of the timescales now. Hi, My husband and I are due to move to Sydney in November. He has a job already. I'm a Conveyancer in the UK and have two more exams before I am fully qualified. I've had a look on the internet about the conveyancing system in Oz and it seems relatively similar. Does anyone know much about it in Oz and how it compares to the UK and how easy it is to pick up ? Hi, My husband and I are new to this site. My husband has just accepted a job from a design agency in Sydney under the 457 visa. He is likely to start in November. We have a cat we want to take with us. We've had a quote from Pet Air. I just wondered if anyone knows of any other reputable pet shipping companies they could recommend. Does anyone know what the local quarantine fee's are for a cat in NSW ? Also, we have stuff we want to ship - nothing huge or any furniture; just clothing, wedding photos a few personal belongings. Does anyone have any advice on the best companies to use? Any tips in general would be very welcome.
