<p>Haha yeah I know this will make me sound like a sadist but I am loving the weather. I walked around Mancs city centre yesterday in grey sky and on and off drizzle and I loved it. Amazing city, awesome architecture, great shops and food. I can't wait to see more of this country. The country side I saw on the train to Mancs from London was so lush and green, so very un-Australian. It's a very nice change.. and most importantly NO WATER RESTRICTIONS! Yay!</p>

<p>Thanks for that. Yeah I have put my travel back a little, till the end of March, and may yet squeeze April out of it, though mid April at the latest. I am a bit worried about going from our hot summer to their freezing winter <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wink.png" alt=";)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I need to be eased in to it I think.</p>

<p>I've got a faily decent tan so that shouldn't be too bad, but I bet you it doesn't last long lol. I'll have to run to Spain to top it up every year.</p>

<p>Yeah can understand about the jobs, same everywhere in the world though, even here. I'm a nurse, so I'm pretty much unaffected by all of that. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wink.png" alt=";)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> helps a bit.</p>

<p>I'm a nurse so I don't need to worry about employment much, and I love rain and cold weather so that shouldn't be too bad.. the main thing I am worrying about is missing my friends, and not knowing anyone in Manchester. Then there's starting off with no credit history.. how am I going to get even a mobile phone contract? I can live without a credit card I guess.. </p>

<p>My mates think I am mad moving over there, but 35 years here (30 in Brisbane, and 5 in Melbourne currently) and I'm a bit over it all and need a major change. Being a Brit it's easy for me to get a change over there and it's a great base for my EU travel once I get sorted.</p>
