Geelong Letting for October 2012

[WRAP][/WRAP] We are king to do a holiday rental/letting until the furniture arrives, spencer is going out n sept and us mid October, the house sale is hoping to complete 1st October so in the 10 weeks it takes for furniture have a good luck round areas and secure a rented place ready for the shipment arriving. Which thread would I put in here looks for fully furnished house, apartment ect or short term holiday lettings? -

Thank Alan we will have a look at these, we have had one price can't remember who it was with ....I know if was someone based in Manchester and got quoted £2900 then insurance was on top, will have to dig it out and have another look, it was a while back Good price u got though think ours was half a container

Hi We are planing on coming over in September/October, but will go in holiday accomodation for the first 2-3 weeks until the furniture arrives. Does anyone have any nice 3 bedroom houses coming up for rent ? Or recommed any to me Kind Regards Lindsey

Great that you have a job, my husband is hoping to go out before me and try and get a job, if he gets a jobs asap its a great big help money wise. We are heading to Geelong Vic.....hopefully....all depends on the work Good Luck

Hi, Pls help.... We came over in February and liked the look of Geelong but we was only there 5 days. Can you sell Geelong to me.....what do you like about it? Can anyone that lives in the area pls help me with the nice family places to live with good primary schools/kindgarten. If anyone knows of any places to def stay away from too this would really help. Hi We are planning on coming over to Victoria in September and planning to head to Geelong Vic, My husband is a joiner here been working in joinery for the last 20 yrs, never been out of work etc. I am basically wondering what its like for work in the surrounding areas at the moment, i know there was thousands of houses being built on the road into Torquay in february when we went...not sure what its like now. Well if anyone can let me know what the works like? Can recommend any companines? What the basic salary is etc.....? This would be a great help Thanks

Hi All, I have sold my house in the last few days and providing it all goes thru and to plan i will be wanting to ship my stuff over at the end of September. I am based in the North West and looking for some cheap reliable companies for me to get quotes from? Can you please recommend any? How many quotes did you actually get? Did you manage to barter with them etc? When your items get to melboure do you have to collect from the docks/warehouse or do they deliver to the address once you have one.? Thanks for you help everyone. i have lots of questions.....there will be many more appearing lol

Hi Guys At the moment am very stressed and my mind is working overtime....argh We my i have had an offer on the house and think were going to except it on monday just needed the time to think it over making sure we are definatly making the right decision extra. We went to Melbourne in February to validate, 2nd visit to melbourne and still really liked the place....especially Geelong Vic. Basically am just wondering if anyone has put together a to do list before leaving and when getting to Oz. Think would be a great great help :biggrin: Thanks Everyone Lindsey and Family x

<p>How strange my fella works as a Joiner and i work at a private hospital in the admin side doing the addmissions and clinics.</p>

<p>We thought of renting ours and renting over in oz...like you say the exchange rates rubbish as the moment, thats why we thought of waiting a while but who knows if it will get better in the next few yrs or not...nobody knows.</p>

<p>We went for SS for Qld but since have changed our mind and thinking more for Adelaide, cheaper houses, more jobs etc.</p>

<p>Not sure when to go...this is the problem at the moment do we put pur house up for sale and see if we sell it within 12 months and go, or go and validate and move over sometime within the next 5 yrs..... going validating though takes a big chunk out of our savings etc.</p>

<p>We had the house up for sale a few yrs ago and didnt sell or had sill offers and the housing market is still the same....so who knows.</p>

<p>What a plonker not telling you about your son needing an x-ray....thats another probablu £75 you had to pay out.</p>

<p>We have booked ours for 1st April...not a good date but hey will see what happens. Our for 4 cost £685 approx with extra blood tests, my lads are only 2 and 6 so dont need an xray i think its when they turn 11 and above.</p>

<p>Ive applied for my police checks about 10 mins ago (posted) and had to apply for new passport so that went with it too !! </p>

<p>Yes Mr T phoned me to tell me god his voice is annoying and when you want to sound happy because you are nearly there and have a case office he just sounds so miserable...haaa!!</p>

<p>Our medicals are booked for the 1st April and going to send police checks off hopefully at weekend just waiting for the passport photos to be posted to me, we need quiet a few so did them online ....cheaper !</p>
