  1. Hi George, i have sent sent you a private message.
  2. Thanks again George. I will check out the website provided. Unfortunately it is temporary down so will have another look later.
  3. Hi George, many thanks for your time, we really appreciate it. You are correct, we were extremely lucky! So how difficult would it be to obtain perminant residency and medical insurance after the visa? We want to plan our future in Australia but if we cannot gain insurance then obviously will have to go back to the drawing board! We also have 2 children (12&16) so would want to settle.
  4. Thanks for the post Wei Shu
  5. Thanks Fisher1, will look George Lombard up. Petals, my wife is not on medication, if any rumours are to accur then surgery is the only option to remove them. We have been informed chemo will only be used if a tumour grows on an organ which cannot be removed. We are looking long term in Australia, but obviously now is a very very difficult desicion if we can't find any answers.
  6. Thanks guys, really appreciate everyone's time!
  7. Hi and thanks for be reply. Yes, we are aware there is a health waiver, but we feel it's awkward someone else should pay the fees if any occur. I have emailed several registered agents and they are unsure of the situation and mentioned "the waiver".
  8. Thanks for kind words everyone. I am a qualified painter and decorator and we are looking to go over with my skilled trade.
  9. Hi, We have finally found an employer who is willing to sponsor me on a 457 but we are now worried our dream maybe over before it has even started. Earlier this year my wife was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer. After successful surgery, we thank god she is cancer free, but will this effect her medical regarding our 457 application? I have spoken to several MA regarding this but no one seems to know. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Ben

  11. Thanks for the replies guys, I may have got my wires crossed with the short stay business visa! Alan, I currently run a "small" business but assumed the 3 month business visa was my only option. I thought 3 months wasn't very long :embarrassed: I will ill check out the self sponsored 457 then contact an agent. Thanks again for your time and replies.
  12. Hi all i am trying to find the answer to my question but have failed thus far. I am considered starting a new business on the 3 month short stay business visa. If my business is successful/ticking over, do I have to leave au after the 3 months or could I extend my stay? I have studied the immi website and it just reads it could lead into a pathway after the 3 months but this is all I can find. Hope someone has been down this road before and can shed some light. Cheers all
