dont spend as much time on the forums as I used to, but still drop in a few times a week to keep an eye on things <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hi Olly. Unfortunatetely all my regular suppliers of troll spray are sold out, thats why there seems to be a bit of a plague about at the moment. I might just have to resort to the Aussie way, and just get a spade out and whack them or set the dogs on them <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thanks for the kind comments about our place in the hills. Only 1 thing I really do get cranky about are all the bloody gum trees !!!!!! Our plot is cleared of trees (before we moved in) but on both sides we have massive gums that drop leaves & limbs all bloody year free of charge. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad.png" alt=":(" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

My bike should officially be worth about 18k or more, but at the moment I would be real pushed to get more than $15k and stock models are going for just over $11k. A year ago it was about $3k more.

Give us a bit more info on your bikes (year, colour, k's etc) and i'll see what I can find out.

Hi Nick.

I didnt bring my ride over, I bought it just before I arrived and picked it up 3 days later.

If you read through the thread we have running, that will give you a fair idea of the costs involved.

I think that the 1 vehicle policy applies to bikes as well, but not sure. I'll do some detective work for you.

Although bikes are dearer, a things definitely worth bearing in mind:

1. Once you have paid all the shipping/cleaning/compliance/rego etc etc after all the hassle & paperwork its sometimes peanuts the difference

2. If your bikes are heavily modified, you will need to bring them back to some sort of stock appearance for compliance.

3. you wont have your bike until the shipping container arrives, and that might be a couple of months after you arrive (i couldnt wait that long)

4. what you see them advertised for is in most cases nothing like the figure they actually sell for.

 5.
I can smell a bike related question a mile away

 6.
beat you 2 it <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I had a phonecall yesterday to say somebody had found my bag !! Whoo Hooo !!

Now I just need to find a way of getting it here. It was very heavy, so might cost a bloody fortune to get here. I might just have to jump on the bike again and pick it up <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Not heard anything back from Amanda yet, but will keep you posted.

I love going out bush bashing in my Hilux, but not sure if she's up to big trips out in the middle of nowhere. Hope you find something, you will love it. Get something not too old, and spend a bit of money getting it ready for offroading. (snorkel, maybe upgraded suspension, UFH radio, mud tyres etc)

I went with 3 mates down through Noojee, past Moe and finished up in Bruthen just above lakes entrance, then the next morning we hit off towards Ome over a new stretch of bitumen on the great alpine road, and then through the mountains back down to Mansfield (finally)

Did about 950k's and saw some of victorias amazing views & fantastic roads.

If I hadnt lost my rack on the back with my bag (about $1000 of tools/glasses/clothing etc) it would have been fantastic. But hey, **** happens. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I flicked Amanda an email with some new photos I had taken today, and will let you know what happens. I also mentioned if she wants to pop by in the next week to have a look before Lila's in laws arrive, she is more than welcome.

late reply, sorry, been mad busy with work, resigning <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> etc etc.

potty all good, and they seem to have settled in well. Went out Sunday on the rounds, and liked a few of the places. I see that you are finally getting up and about as well. Good luck with the big move soon, and will drop you a line soon.

 11.
If you buy a half stripped pink VW Beetle off me, then I promise to get out and buy a rental in Pakenham or surrounding area. (and give me a hand with painting the house, finishing the garden, building a garage for my bikes & replacing the ballustrade around the house)

 12.

Thanks for that Kate.

I read your message about a rental in Berwick, and I would love to oblige, but I have so many projects on the go at the moment, I dont even have time to go and talk to real estate agents. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad.png" alt=":(" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hi Kate.

Had a great break thanks, and although the weather in Holland & UK was a bit average, France was fab, so I got rid of my pasty Aussie winter colour <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hope you guys are all well.

Any enquireys recently? Dmitriy has found a rental in Mentone & is leaving a week earlier than planned. They have been very good. Had a drink with them last night, & they seem to be settling in OK.

It was a bit hairy this evening when we heard about the Belgrave fire, so I popped down to give them a heads up.

As it turns out, the CFA where very efficient and had it out in a couple of hours.

With regards to the firebugs, I could f@#$%^g strangle the lot of them, and thats being polite as well.

Hi Kate. Thanks, we love the house & Unit as well. My wife has done a fab job with it.

Sorry I havent replied earlier, been mad busy with work. I am a buyer for a big cut flower wholesaler, and with Valentines round the corner, its been stupid busy.

I think Steve & Jessica are doing great. We have chatted a few times, and had time for just a beer so far. We have also had builders in most of the week finishing the pool, so its been a bit hectic, but they seem to be enjoying themselves. I was hoping to catch up with them maybe tomorrow evening for a drink.
