  1. But probably only if your kids go to a catholic or posh private school. Dont know many state schools that can afford to hire a chaplain - even with the $20,000 discount on offer. So effectively free money for schools which would have hired a priest anyway. At least we can see the money cut from science is going to a good cause.

It all depends on how full the school is. Dont know a great deal about Osborne but my daughters gifted student programme was there after school one term and there seemed to be a nice atmosphere and the teachers she had were excellent. You could always just pick one school now for safety and if it doesn't feel right when you look around pick another one.

Still pretty ordinary. We moved our kids out last year but still have friends with kids there. 4 families we know have moved their kids out this term. The senior staff are not very approachable (or easy to get to see). It seems that the people that get on the best there are those with kids performing exactly on average - if they are bright or need extra help there is very little done for them. Just my opinion and of course lots of people love the school but the amount of people leaving shows we weren't the only ones who felt that. I would recommend visiting the other schools in the area aswell and seeing how you feel about the atmosphere and staff in comparison.
