  1. If you had a successful vettassess result in 2009, validated visa 175' returned to the uk, but is considering re applying, would you have to re do the skills assessment., lived in Australia for less than a year due to family commitments!

  2. Without wishing to get into the nooks and crannies of your personal finances, did Halifax charge you a higher interest rate because of the higher risk of your circumstances or were you given their normal published rate?

Nope got a decent interest rate and fixed for two years. if anything the banks were charging higher rate!

  3. Only you can decide whats right for you, no one to say how long you should give it a good go, completely understand the lack of work and money worries, hard to be in a country with no money and lack of family members around you, maybe im too stuck in my ways, but would rather be around family network and penniless in my homeland.

  4. A loss of any kind is and can be very difficult for those who are going through it, But i do think that those who have never experienced a loss within their family have no real idea as what to say which can be equally as difficult for them, sometimes a nice gesture can mean the same as a 1000 words.

I feel for anyone who goes through a loss of a child, its a complete feel of emptiness that you feel nothing will fill, heartache comes in waves, sadly people think you can just pick up the pieces and get on with it, This is not always the case for everyone.

big ((hugs)) to you littlesarah xx

  5. Also the so called friend who says "i so know what your going through"

My so called best friend did this to me, I kindly reminded her that her ectopic which was detected at 7 weeks was nothing compared to what i had just gone through, ( having a baby at 24 weeks, nursing her for two days until she passed away in my arms) and going through a funeral etc which were completely different, She hasn't spoken to me now for almost 12 years!!!!

I gave her all the support at the time of her loss i could, but when i was at a loss she reverted it all back to her!

  6. hi, just to let you know my eldest daughter has now been allocated a place at her preferred school! Didn't go to appeal in the end, a place came up, although this may of been due to my daily harassment of the local council! My younger one will start year 7 at the same school in September.

I did it from oz because she wanted to return ahead of us. She is in the air as we speak!!

I would also say hat if you can wait until you are home I would of done that too. It's a very stressful experience and when you are waiting on emails all the time it's very frustrating.

Don't give up! You will get there in he end x

    Great news!! :cute:

  7. Hi all,i have had a fair few messages off some of you regarding school applications for sept 2013, If you are not back in the uk don't put an application in for a school place until you have returned, most places have now been given and appeals are taking place! Wait until you are back and are in your home so you have a permanent address and contact number... This will be classed as a late or mid term application... Im happy to help where i can though :cute:

  8. We did as we were suppose to have 4 packers on the day, and we had two young guys who were run ragged, as they slept in the van the first night Hubby gave them some money for a pint at the local pub, which was on the corner of our Rd!!

The other two turned up the next morning though to help load up the van lol!!

  9. lmao, we found that when we were in Oz, sat watching the Tennis, no Ozzie playing, and every break in serve they flashed over to some one who is no longer playing and how great he was.. did my head in!!!
