<p>Hi, we plan to move to tassie in the near future. I have been looking at property sites for the last 18 months. Realestate.com.au has a new section which provides a history of house prices. It shows that the average house price in Kingston was $288,000 in November 2008 and as risen to $390,000 in September 2009. The average in Taroona was $410,000 in november 2008 and has risen to $580,000 in september 2009. In Blackmans Bay the average was $375,000 in November 2008 and as dropped to $267,500 in October 2009.</p>

<p>Why have the property prices shot up in Kingston and Taroona and dropped so much in Blackmans Bay.</p>
