Thanks for all the informative comments everyone. Distance from the city and commuter traffic doesn't really bother me too much because i won't be working there. Would like to know any opinions regarding crime in the area, anyone have any comments?

Thanks for your reply. We also loved the area immediately, but due to not knowing about the surroundings, I'm a little cautious of rushing into to it. Which other areas close by are you referring to?

We are thinking of settling in the Burns Beach (Perth) area. Any views / comments on the area and surroundings? Any opinions regarding purchasing a home in this area? Is it a good investment? ​Would appreciate any feedback from anyone that knows the area or have also settled here.
