1.
Just saw your news - you've made my day (well night - I'm off to bed now as it's 11.15pm!!!). Congratulations and enjoy your celebrations x x x

 2.
Hey Kelly - yes we fly Saturday!!!!!!! So much to sort this week with sending money, sorting a car, selling our cars etc. We have been vagrants for 4 weeks now, staying with different friends and relatives. Also, we have spent the last 4 weeks having "leaving do's". I've never drank or eaten so much - I'll have to go straight on a diet when we get there! I'm still very excited but dreading saying goodbye to everyone on Friday. I will update you when we get there x Have you had any news on your state sponsorship yet?

Hi Kelly - all good here thanks x Getting quotes from shippers now which is the last big job to do - so far had 2 and been quoted £3400 and £3600 plus around £1300 insurance!! That's for a full 20ft container door to door - and they pack. Two more coming next week so hoping to get the cost down a bit. Not sure if I told you but flights booked for 15th August and 1 months accomodation booked too. There's so much to think about that I find myself drifting off mid conversation with people as I remember something or someone else I need to sort!!!!!!! Not moaning though - I'm still positive and very excited. I did worry that I'd get doubts and second thoughts once it was all definite but I haven't so far (touch wood!). You won't be too far behind - as soon as you get your sponsorship the visa will follow quickly.

Hi Kelly

It's difficult isn't it. We didn't have any choice and couldn't have got a visa without state sponsorship. When we started we looked at where we could go and not where we wanted to go - and went from there. Fortunately we both liked Victoria and his skill was on their list so we went for them. Really, it's been more luck than judgement that we ended up at the top of the pile and if it were the other way round I know we would be looking to do whatever we could to get near to the top. The truth is though that no-one really knows the impact of the recent changes and what it's going to do to waiting times or if things are going to get better or worse. Things could all change again in 3 months and you go back on the CSL. It's like waiting for a pathway D replacement all over again! If you can be proactive and move things along then go for it. Is he not on any other state lists or do you have your heart set on Queensland?

Hi Kelly

Your birthday wish obviously worked, thank you. The TRA assessment came back successful this morning!!!!

It says successful based on evidence of acceptable workplace assessment (AQF) and evidence of training and 4 years work experience. So it is really worth doing the AQF even though it costs a bit.

Hope you enjoyed your Indian last night
