Hi Guys,
Just to let you now that I found out that my nomination had been refused on Thursday.
Not sure what the plan from here is... still looking into it
 thats awful rangerider, i hope your employer can get things sorted, i dont really understand how they can refuse after the rcb have already approved it, i thought that was the difference between ens and rsms that the rcb got a say

Does anyone know what kind of further documents or information they could ask for once you had your CO allocated? We are going to southeast asia until we get our visa and we will leave in about 3 weeks.hopefully it will be granted by then but just in case what document do u think i should prepare to take with me other then form 80???
we were asked for form 80's and a form 1229 (consent to grant an australian visa to an under 18).
It could be anything as i dont think they check your uploaded documents until the co is appointed, is your case straightforward?

Really? what kind of information? Getting an agent for the last bit might not be a bad idea if it helps, then it will be worth it right?
Nooooo!!!! :arghh:
It's happening this week!! I have decided!
:heart_head_crying_t:heart_head_crying_t
Just more info about the post, local advertising etc,we thought that would all have been taken care of when the RCB ok'd the post

Our employers have been asked for more information on the position? They are planning to hire an agent to finalise things, i think they are scared its all going to fall through after all the effort put in.
Hopefully the end is in sight.
Anything happening for you?

I really feel for you rangerider , its an awful way to live life in limbo.
We emailed case officer last night to ask for a current time frame and she told us she couldnt do that as our nomination hadnt been approved yet. id have thought that would be done before requesting for 80's from us

Hi Guys,
New here but I figured I'd add some info about my application
RSMS 857 (onshore) - Accountant
RCB submitted 23/07/2010
RCB approved 10/08/2010
Nomination Forwarded to DIAC Melbourne (by Tas RCB themselves) 15/08/2010
Nomination Received by DIAC Melbourne 18/08/2010
Nomination Doc's sent by employer 19/08/2010
No Co till now......... :arghh: called Diac they say it's going to take 6-7 mths.
Question... Should I send my personal application now? with the fees and police report etc? would that speed up the application? or do I wait for nomination to be approved? Hell how long does the nomination thingy take???
hey java we were told that frontloading the application with police checks and medicals and submitting along with the nomination will speed things up. no evidence of that yet though

Congratulations
A little hope for those of you applying for the RSMS 857 (onshore) visa... I lodged my completed application in Parramatta 20 Aug 10, got a case worker 14 Sept 10, she asked for a repeat Aus police check on my partner- we had inadvertently got a 'standard' disclosure instead of 'full', and had our visa approved and granted on 24 Sept 10.I had been there- checking post/emails 20,000 times a day, reading forums and having my hopes raised, dashed, and raised again; hunting for long lost certificates, finding JP's etc etc .... At one point I wondered why I was doing this all in the first place!
I don't know if my situation helped- I am a nurse moving from Brisbane to Toowoomba, I was on a 457 visa with 2 years left on it. My old employer wanted to terminate my 457 before I had the 857 granted- so I sent big panicky emails to immigration. I was told I could cancel my 457 and then my bridging visa would come into play- but I'd have to apply for permission to work, and this was a little risky in case I couldn't work (nor could my partner) so I sat tight and kept my fingers crossed. Happily, the visa was granted a few days before my employment ended, so a very happy ending.
Good luck to everyone going through the same thing. Your visa will be granted eventually, so hang in there

I dont know of any list of employers. What we did was join all the recruitment sites and get the daily emails from them. Also looking on the local newspaper sites and browsing the yellow pages.
We emailed everything that was suitable and got very lucky, looks like a great job for my oh in a fantastic area.
|Good luck

We have just heard that our employer nomination was recieved on the 6th of August. Working on the premise ive seen that its taking roughly a month to approve nomination hopefully they will here something more this week.
-
Hi Everyone, just to let you know my visa was approved today. It was apparently only lodged on 7th July at Melbourne, so was pretty fast. Good luck to all of you, it looks like ENS visas are moving again.
Congratulations :jiggy:

Well come Sunday i need a midwives letter to fly , then i have 6 weeks after that until i cant fly atall.
If bubs arrives in uk we will then have a whole new kerfuffel of adding him to the visa, obtaining a passport getting medicals etc.
If we have recieved the visa before he arrives but are still in the uk i think thats worse, as i dont think he can be added to our visa after its been granted. and will have to have his own seperate child visa which will cost another $1735. im actually not sure how it works will need to investigate further.
Everything is getting a bit close for comfort now
