Just don't do too much driving around there at night, the coast road in either direction is Kamikaze Roo Country as soon as the sun starts to set. They're beautiful creatures until they decide bouncing into the road is the best form of escape.

Just keep an open mind. I am a country girl and I couldn't live there as much as I love it for a holiday. Please do add me, her rental is lovely. Newly renovated and beautifully done within walking distance to beach.

Very small town with small town mentality. Driven by tourism and fishing. Have to come to Perth for any proper shopping. I love Jurien but it isn't the normal destination for migrants. My bestie owns a holiday rental up there that she has just renovated if you need somewhere to stay.

it's a beautiful spot, 2 hours north of Perth, mainly fishing and tourism industry wise.

 

Loads of excellent beaches, a very good pie shop a decent sized supermarket (sort of town co-op size) and a few other useful shops. There's a very nice camping spot just north of town as well.

 

Size wise it's very small but growing and is somewhere i'd be happy to live, get yourself a 4wd and a small boat and you'll be in wonderland.

Why on earth is it going to take another 6 years to ban them. They have been banned in the UK since 1999 and a Europe wide ban starts in 2013. It seems absurd to take such a ridiculous amount of time to change a Ora rise like this in this day and age.

its all to do with costs ( isn't it always ) ... it took 10 years for the crates to be phased out in the UK and tht was to do with costs i beleive .

although i do believe coles by 2014 will only stock sow stall free pork ...... a step further i guess .

Danish Bacon : hve you seen how they keep the pigs the sow cages piled on top of each other yum nice ...pumped with yummy fat

Australian Bacon : healthier bacon but sow cages ... they have reduced the number of cages ...but because of costs they are afraid to stop cages completely because it would mean higher costs which

will force imports from countries still using sow stalls.

So its ok you may get your DANISH bacOn in the end

If your not happy with that buy a pig !

To be honest i never noticed the choc taste differant in oz the times i have visited ( maybe i have dodgy taste buds )

I do think if you travel to the other side of the world you have to realise things will be differant ie foods ...people...

Funny enuf im not arsed about snakes which ARE dangerous,just not fussed on spiders,moreso when im asleep im on about,deffo debating a closed in mozzie net:laugh:,bridey,jan was dying to see roos,but when we went to a park her bottle went when a mob of about 20 stood up clocking us like a gang of 4 legged furry hoodies!:yes::biglaugh:

Hi Oh has been in the royal navy for 20 years and is due out anytime he is a po electrician tech

we have been advised to go to oz as electrician special class .

He is a trained armourer/ hydraulic's, electrician , weapon engineer , has a foundation degree.

Think we are now looking at getting sponsered employment instead of the 175 (modl) which is no more .( 5 points off doh GSM !)

I have searched and searched for work and places to send CV 's Have any ideas ?
