I have reference letters from my employers mentioning my Roles and Responsibilities but my agent says it needs to be modified as per Software engineer. Has anyone got ACS done for SE recently? Can someone help , how to prepare/modify reference letter to qualify as Software Engineer? It would be of great help, if someone can provide guidance. Probably if you do it, do it smartly and then find you way through 189 instead of 190 ! this will help you getting rid of all those stupid nominations. Trust me, waiting Sucks ! I am also targeting for 189 Visa - independent application and ACS Skilled Occupation list contains 6 ANZSCO codes assessed by the ACS for skilled independent applicants. 1. 261311 Analyst Programmer 2. 263111 Computer Network and Systems Engineer 3. 261312 Developer Programmer 4. 261111 ICT Business Analyst 5. 261313 Software Engineer 6. 261112 System Analyst So , i have to apply under these categories only. Although, i started my career as a software tester, during the latter part, i worked a QTP automation specialist. Currently, i work for a different company as a middleware tester testing webservices. If you fit into that you can get an assesment from the ACS. Thanks Sandeep :nah:No, I have applied under software engineer with 3.5 year experience. But now, as some rules are changed ACS is deducting your some experience depending on your qualification. Now, on my ACS result letter it is written that I have only 1.5 years experience . Same thing happened for my friend whose 5 year experience was deducted as he had done B.tech. I know hey are deducing 2 years experience.This rule came in july 2013 i believe. Anyways being a automation tester I want to apply in software engineer category as you did. Can you share exact roles and responsibitlies that you mentioned in your employee ref letter which got you positive acs assesement? It would be really greatfull as there are very few automation testers who have applied in software engineer category.
