  1. Thank you so much Bob. I've just picked up your voice mail too and will give you a call over next day or so. Totally agree on Dubai and would rather pay more and have 2 healthy dogs arrive at the other end. Speak soon and thanks again.
  2. Bob can you help please, Just had an email saying you no longer ship Bulldogs....is this correct?
  3. Please help some one. I have spoken to PetAir briefly a couple of times in the past and had the discussions that it would be expensive to fly Bulldogs and there are risks involved. I have been informed twice that only Air Canada will fly them. (only last month i had one of these conversations). I have now started the application process for our visa and requested a formal quote and intended to start dogs blood work/ vaccinations etc but have just received an email from PetAir saying airlines are no longer flying Bulldogs!?? Please some one tell me this is not entirely true or there are options with another company. I know these decisions are made in the pets best interests, but this news has just floored me. It changes everything. Any advice guys, much appreciated.
  4. Hi all, Have been on this site for a couple of years....always thinking should we go for it, but there always seemed to be something in the way. Well this week, I'm excited to say we have started the visa application and am so excited. We are looking at a 189 visa going to Queensland. We have sent (this evening) an email to an IELTS tutor for the exam booked next month. We appointed Go Matilda as our MA and paid deposit this week also. Very nervous about the whole thing. Will hubby get the skills asses needed? When do we put our house on the market? When do we start the dogs rabies etc etc.....so much to do and so much can go wrong!! It's been great reading everyones experiences over the past couple of years and so many points of view...some good...some bad. Hope to speak to you all soon x
  5. WOW, Didn't realise you had to get started so far ahead of going?? Just started our visa applications and thought we had a few months before working on the dogs. I have spoken to guys at PetAir at a couple of shows we've been to and they seem to be the most professional by far. Will be giving you a call tomorrow.......have 2 of the problem Bullies to ship.......
  6. Hi, We are in the same boat. We are applying for a 189 Visa on which our youngest daughter can come with us as she is 17 and still in education. Our eldest daughter is 22 and in full time employment. She will have to come on a WHV and do 3 months rural work, she will then be legible to apply for a second year. Hopefully within these 2 years she will find a willing employer to sponsor her. There are a couple of other options, but to be honest that's too far down the line to even contemplate as things change all the time. We spoke to several agents before appointing one who we felt we could work best with, but they all gave the same info for the eldest daughter. Get a good agent, I think they are worth their weight in gold.
