    Hi, it’s been 6 years I had give. Interview but if you good with hairdressing follow the thread and it will help you a lot. I remember I was asked permanent hair straightening procedure, how do you check the process done or not through strand test, cutting angle of layered bob/ bob. Any colour correction done. That’s all I recall. But read the past posts it will help you.

    Hi Emma , i guess even though you don't do some units , make sure you know the process, how you do it , why you do it . I've been asked the complete process of chemical straightening, how you'll the hair needs to neutralise . So just get the knowledge of it.

    Hello all, i had had lodged my visa on 11th march 2016, a case officer was assigned on April 26 2017, last document was submitted in July 3rd week, since then was awaiting for the result since then, almost an year. Mine is a home based beauty n hair studio. Yesterday morning there was a physical verification at my home. Many questions were asked. I answered them satisfactorily. I hope ? so. I have been told I'm closer to the result. Hope to get positive result ?.

    Hi Laura, for 190 you need show funds for 3-6months- as per agent. I had applied for 190 but due to age factor I was offered 489. About EOI, it takes maximum 4 weeks as per agent but mine came on 18th day. Hope this will help you. Bye Sony

    Hi you should check the procedure for perming and straightening, when to use neutrilizer in both case, as I had the same questions. They had also asked me about out line shave and gents hair cut I replied women not much in barbering but I learnt the skill as I had to put up videos for trade assessment. The interview was quite detailed, message technique names were asked I could only give. 2 names. Asked about salon safety, hygiene, short bob hair cut cutting angle, hair updos for Long hair, problem facing with French roll. There were many question my interview lasted for 2:17hrs

    Hi, I've applied for hairdresser for NT. I started in August 2015, and now at the stage where positively hoping for visa grant. I had had applied for 190 visa sub class but as turned 40 during the visa process I was offered 489 visa subclass with NT state sponsorship. first of all you need to have 5 years work experience either as self employed or working for someone. You need to get your document assessed along with 4 videos or pictures with detailed information on chemical perming, colouring, barbering with classic hair cut and outline shave. With some fees. once done with this you'll be given a date for technical assessment which will be Skype interview - you need to clear this assessment done by VETASSESS with some fees. after clearing this you can apply or EOI, mean while you also need to score for IELTS 6 or above. after EOI you will be offered state sponsorship for 190 or 489visa subclass. Now you are at the last stage where paying visa fees, medical check ups and police clearance. Inbetween a stage you need to some fund for 190. You don't need to show funds for 489. 489 is a temporary visa for 4 years and after completing two years in regional area can apply for permanent resident. This is all I went through the process.     Hi all, i appeared for for vetassess interview on 24th November, I had to email VETASSESS for the certificate in January as I was running short of time for 190- age criteria, I got my certificate in the 1 st week of February. Then applied for EOI, it took 3 weeks, roughly end of Feb but I was offered 489 visa sponsorship as I was turninig 41 in the month of March. I filed visa application on 11th March with required documents and fees. There was a query by the department and again submitted relevant documents in end of April. Awaiting my visa grant. Very anxious.

    Okay. I've referred training.guv.au for their Level of skill. im from India and I don't have a family in nt, though my cousins in some other part. So it's going to be like a complete different world for me n my son. i actually want to know what did you answer in some of the question you have put in. If you can help.

    Hello vicki, thank you once again. I've got nvq 2 n nvq 3 of city n guilds, which I'm referring but no idea about Aussie units- I mean don't have reading material for the same. I've applied for 190 category and eligible for NT only. ive applied on 9th of October for technical interview but haven't got the date yet. Why do they take such long hour technical interview? Any idea, cozy as I read it took more 2 hours for you so what kind if situation is there at interview centre. my agent told me it's going to be one to one session , a video interview. If you can brief me more.

    Hi thank you so much for the details quite helpful. I've also cleared my 1st stage of assessment with 4 videos - perming, colouring, men's outline shave- tough one and men's classic haircut. I passed the 1 st stage and now waiting for my technical interview. If you can still brief me more about the same n some more questions if you remember thank you so much
