  1. thank you so much for sharing that, truly inspirational and its people like u that gives hope to us all!!
  2. yes i have heard stories from people who told me that all i will need is ------ and others who have said that no you will need this this this and this.i just caught up in all that and believed that i could find a way.note to self only ever listen to someone who knows what they are actually talking about. thx blossom
  3. yes i have read a lot of posts on here of people feeling trapped in oz and miserable because of it. they do say that the grass isant always greener and for these people i wish them the best of luck. thank you roo xx

  5. hi cam, yes that is exactly how i felt, i think that i just got used to the lifestyle here and it started to feel like home, but im hoping that i can make scotland my new home and i can be truly happy there. thanks so much for the positive comments, much appreciated:)
  6. yes that is how ive come to look at it now, who knows what the future holds! thank you karen xx
  7. Hi Ali No he will be staying here. His situation is very different to mine.
  8. hey all, i came out to perth on my second working hol visa in april of this year and due to circumstances beyond my control i have to leave again. i have tried looking into alternative ways to stay ie sponsorship and defacto but because the job that im doing now is not on the skill set, and because of a lack of financial evidence to support a defacto application both of these options are now a dead end. i knew that when i came out here i was always going to be on a time scale but i had just really believed that i wouuld find some sort of a loop hole that would allow me to stay.i was devestated when i was told by one 2 many migration agents that lodging a defacto application would be like just giving the DIAC money for nothing because they were sure that it would be rejected. that was a few weeks ago now and now im still a little conflicted.i have decided that i will move to scotland to start again, i figure that i am at a point in my life where i really need to settle somewhere and at at least in scotland i will never have to worry about visas or having to leave etc.i also plan to go back to college and do a course that i wish i had done years ago. although i will be sad to leave i now feel that maybe the idea of australia can be better than the actual reality? i read a post earlier that said 'there are only so many beaches that you can go to without the novelty starting to waer off' id have to agree with that so for anyone on here that is unhappy being here just remember that life is 2 short to be miserable and you really should do whatever is going to make you happy, for me i now believe that a life here just wasnt meant to be!
  9. Hey, Probably a long shot i know but is anyone heading to glasgow this year?? im moving there in april and ive never been so a it will be a whole new experience for me!.it would be great to know people when i get there so if anyone is in the same both give me a shout:) Tracey x
  10. thx everyone for your advice, really appreciated xx
  11. did she just say that if i were go cme back after 3 months and then applied for my defacto visa i would be able to go from a tourist visa to a bridging visa with work rights?
  12. no im in perth and as far as i know you cant do that here.
  13. hi blossom, yes we do have a joint bank account and i do have my boyfriend addeda s a beneficiary on my superanuation account but thats about it rally.we are only subletting so we dont have rent agreements
  14. at least 2 months.we dont have pictures together till june.i have explored every avenue imaginable.im not willing to lodge it offshore as ive been told that it can take up to 12 months and i cant go home for a couple of months and come back because then i will only have a tourist visa and cant work.my only valid option i thought was to lodge it b4 my hol visa runs out and when it does get rejected i hoped taht i could just add to my application as opposed to just appealing the original one.
