AJax Posted January 2, 2013 Share Posted January 2, 2013 I was initally thinking £3k, but a friend who been out there and going again in Feb said to me 7/8 hundred to tie you over for a month and I saw a reply to my previous post and she said she took less than £1k.. Now im thinking £1500 is it really enough if months accom/flights etc are paid for? Also will they ask to see my proof of funds ? nickachu Posted January 2, 2013 Share Posted January 2, 2013 I had £5k when I came, after flights. It all depends on how quickly you can find a job. I spent about £200 on accomodation, probably same again on food, probably same again on booze in the first 2 weeks. I have now however recouped what I spent by working. It all depends on how quickly you can get work really. Some people, like myself manage to get lucky and find work off the bat, some aren't so lucky so spend maybe a month or more looking for work.
