Deep94
Hello everyone, I applied DE as a cook in June 2017. I’m still waiting for nomination and visa. Actually i had brain surgery to remove tumor from my head. As I’m on medication since then and constantly having blood tests,MRI etc. i have interim Medicare which covered all expenses. They might do another operation in future, this might cost them huge cost. And i haven’t done medical yet, but these things are now on records. Will it effect my visa application? It might be but though i am not 100% sure as it is a burden on tax payers. If it is estimated over the budget i am afraid i might influence your visa application decision. Yearly $8000 in 5 years time=$40000 is a budget for every australian. Now if your medical cost goes beyond this limit then it should not be any problem. But you need an assessment report from your specialist how it costs approximately. And you need to submit this report to MOC ( Medical officer of commonwealth) once your medical examination done and asking further assessment from BVMS as a part of medical assessment. My advice is to go through your medical examination now as it will take 4-6 months even more to complete this process and its frustrating. Don’t be too worried at this stage. Hope you overcome your current medical condition. Good luck bro ! Edited September 20, 2018 by KazBaker
