I had taken up PTE exam in Nov 2015 and it is valid until Nov 2017. As per govt website I can use English test results taken up within last 3 years. PTE must be valid when you lodge your 186 Visa Application. As Long as it is valid and if your Visa File will open after Nov 2018 than you do not give PTE exam again for sure.
