pqaccountant Posted June 2, 2017 Share Posted June 2, 2017 Hello, I've had a trawl on the forum but couldn't find any answers - sorry if there is already a similar post! My wife and I are going through the initial stages of moving over to Oz, she's a GP so is firstly getting her qualifications & registration approved by the AMC / RACGP / AHPRA at the same time as looking for a job (of which there are many). Only once we get her registration sorted, which can take a good 2-3 months, can we apply for the 457 visa. So realistically we are looking to submit the 457 application in August. Am I right in thinking that the 457 will be phased out NEXT year (March-18) and that for people applying up to then on the medium/long-term skills list, it will be business as usual?
