sunlover
My daughter is considering applying to go and work in Australia. Her dad, step mum and sisters now live there. I am all for her doing this, however worry that I may never see her if she decides to stay there permanently! I have read about being sponsored by family members if you want to retire there - what does sponsoring someone entail? I am not ready to retire yet, but if I did want to go there it seems it's really hard and expensive to do so. I own my own home and would be self sufficient in terms of pension etc, and would be able to get health insurance, so why do people have to stump up thousands of pounds? Or have I got that wrong?!
