faol
Hello, We immigrated to Australia from Germany 4 years ago. After one year both my daughter and myself developed autoimmune disease(thyroid and liver). I suspect that moving to Australia played trigger role in the disease development. I also know other people who got autoimmune disease after coming to australia. I checked on internet there is no research done on it, i just wonder if someone else experienced similar problem after moving to Aussie.
Diane
I have an autoimmune condition (Scleroderma) but I had it before I moved here. They are known to be triggered - or exacerbated - by stress, so maybe the stress of migrating had an influence on you and your daughter?

Possibly yes, I consider also environmental factors, change in food, change of lifestyle..
