From what I understood, the interest rate is based on economic growth. If they see better economy then rates go higher in deposits to attract investors. I really don't think the U.S will raise theirs so it's all down to what happens with iron ore. If it falls into 40s and 30s as predicted by Goldman then I suspect Aus rate will be lowered. personally would love to see the exchange rate to climb over $2.25 by the end of the year.
