LIMBOMANIA
Hiya, Im coming to perth on a working holiday visa in May, if within the year my girlfriend and I decide to get married, if we apply for the partner visa and get a bridging visa , do I have to wait until next may 2016 for the bridging visa to kick in as i read somewhere that only when one substantive visa runs out will the other kick in? Which means say in dec 2015 we apply, the bridging wont kick in until may 2016 as per the WHV ? Hope that made sense, any help on the matter will be greatly appreciated
Killara
That is correct. The bridging visa would only kick in when your substantive visa (the WHV) expires.
LIMBOMANIA
simple enough, thanks. would it be advisable to head in on WHV to work in a job or two if possible ( have current job in business development, been told recruitment consultant is an ideal role) and then go via a partner visa route or cut the route short and straight to partner visa? Would the likelihood of my getting an income as a UK business development manager on my WHV be worth me doing this route? again i hope that made sense and if this is not your expertise i appreciate the earlier advice. thanks
