2611 - ICT Business and Systems Analysts - Occupation Ceiling 2014/15

Hello,

 

I noticed that ICT Business and Systems Analysts 2611 is near to the occupation ceiling for 2014/15 (1284 invites out of 1620). We are looking to apply for a 189 visa under this category but I just had a few questions;

 

1. What happens when the ceiling is reached before July 1st?

2. Can we still lodge an EOI if the ceiling is reached on the basis they will re-open again after July?

3. Is this category at risk of being removed altogether from the SOL in July?

1. No further invitations will be issued in that Program Year.

2. You can still submit an EOI and if the occupation is still on the SOL, you'll get an invitation after 1 July.

3. No way of knowing. It isn't flagged for possible removal which is a good sign but it's impossible to say any more than that.
