obxer7 Posted December 10, 2014 Share Posted December 10, 2014 Hi I was wondering if anyone can help. I am currently in Australia on a 190 visa. Myself and my husband got married in the UK 12 days before we emigrated and I have since changed my name in Australia, do I need to get my visa updated? If so, does anyone know how I go about this? We have also recently had a baby (so he is an Australian citizen), my name on his birth certificate is my married name, but when applying for the passport it asks for a copy of the visa and that is in my maiden name. When applying for the baby's passport, you can provide the visa in your maiden name together with your marriage certificate which will be acceptable evidence for the difference between the visa and your name on baby's birth certificate.
