Maray Posted May 19, 2014 Share Posted May 19, 2014 Hi my husband is a bricklayer and has never been out of a job in all the 11 years we have been here. I have just looked at the current jobs available and there seems to be a good load advertised. I know the building trade has taken off at the moment. My husband earns 900AUD a week over 1000AUD if a Sat has been worked, no sick or holiday pay. I don't know how this compares to anyone else as he works for a company but you can get an ABN to work as a private business or in a team but you will need to work out and pay your own tax each year.
