ImageConfident
We have a gorgeous solid mango wood table and chair set which I would love to bring with us. However, the 6 chairs are made out of a rattan type material. I am just wondering if anyone knows what the costs are like for fumigation, as to whether it is worth bringing with us or selling before we go? Will be filling a 20ft container. Any advice would be really helpful thank you Cath x Ps. jonbclark
I could be wrong but I thought rattan was fine to bring in, we brought in a few furniture items with rattan baskets etc and didn't need to declare. I think they get a bit more twitchy about wicker might be worth a check though
ImageConfident
Thanks Jon, although I could be wrong and it could be wicker, or sea grass… not really sure :-( so erring on the side of caution.
fosseboy
We brought ours - cleaned them well first. Had no problem.
