RRV how quick can it be obtained?

Hi all, We have a crisis in the Family with my wife's brother passing away suddenly. We may have to jump a flight at short notice but notice that our initial five years of being able to flit back and forth has lapsed. I take it a sub class 143 is like any other visa and that we will have to pay a substantial amount to have this re-entry visa added for another five years? Is it possible to short cut the system as I fear with it being Friday tomorrow then a weekend, it may be too late to get it processed, fly and make any funeral which may be mid next week.

RRVs applied for in Australia only take a day or so (working days).

You can also get an RRV overseas if you run out of time so you can leave Australia to go to the funeral and get one before you need to return. Overseas processing could take as long as a couple of weeks. Cost wherever you apply is $345 per person with an additional charge of $80 for non-internet applications
