Nsw applied AAT August 2019 restaurant manager
Aat requested documents 20 sep 2022

no hearing scheduled till now,
my friend, scenario
nsw , retail manager
AAT requested documents August 2022

Aat taking 6 to 7 months for finalise the case
All the best
My friend applied AAt in oct 2019,

Be mindful that the new Government has announced that it is abolishing the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) and replacing it with a new federal administrative review body. The establishment and transition to the new system may slow processing further.
I am been waiting from last 3 years and 2 months.do u think it may take upto 4 years?

Hi, I am also waiting , documents submitted end of September. A cook in WA. No reply yet. Also, send an email 10 days ago. Saying just wait. Very lazy and slow department and their process. No deadlines, no system. They are strict in time of submission but they don't respect others valuable time. Very frustrating.
U r right bro, AAT sucks
i am going to wait till March, after that i am going to continue my 491 visa.

Hi everyone
Can anyone reply me asap
After long wait ( applied July 2019, Qld ) aat opened my appeal today, asked to submit documents in 2 weeks and hearing is scheduled on February 20.
This invitation for hearing for Nomination only and employer has to attend, there is no mention about the visa . Is it normal ?
Are they going to invite for hearing for visa separately?
Anyone had similar experience?
It’s depend upon case officer. He may not take your hearing.but you will be fine, don’t worry.
just want to confirm did u email on their email address to open your file? Or u simply went to their website and select general enquiry or complaint?
i sent an email to AAt in October and they reply to my agent.my agent said don’t email them just wait.yesterday i called them.and he said you will hear back from us soon.

Just wondering , which month of files aat is processing atm , and how I can know about estimate of processing time . As I am waiting for aat outcome from almost 3 years , I logged my file to aat January 2020. And I haven’t heard back anything yet , and one have similar time line , it’s very frustrating. I heard that aat is going to abolish by the early next year because of old government appointed members without merit selection . What’s gonna happen. Another nightmare…
AAT applied 4 december, still waiting

Hi guys,
just wondering if someone can offer me some advice. My nomination was rejected in July 2019 followed by my visa in September 2019. Both parts appealed to AAT. I have remained on a bridging visa for the last three years.
AAT finally opened my case and requested further information - submitted in august 2022. I’ve just received a notification that they have requested a hearing 22nd December (nice little Christmas present).
now my question is - should they refuse the nomination/visa, or states online I would have 35 days to leave the country. Can this be extended? Would I be able to apply for another bridging visa to give me more time to leave?
I’ve been in Australia for 10 years, like I don’t think I could pack my life up in 35 days especially with a 6 month old baby in tow. They say to be prepared to leave but I don’t think that’s possible. I have a life here, work, lease, belongings.
Im not trying to be negative, just trying to be realistic and make sure I know all my options. I’m sick of fighting so should the AAT agree with the refusal. I’m not going to fight it anymore. I just can’t believe they only give you 35 days so I’m hoping this can be extended.
Thanks so much in advance.
Charlie

I think my medical was sent and approved on 20/9/22 but doesn't matter, they wait 28-30 days usually after requesting documents. The CO who requested my documents and the one who approved my visa is different.
I think waiting long or not depends on your luck as well. There are no systems in immi
Your occupation? It's a bit long to wait for a month, but I did see some people got requested 2 months after AAT. They will first approve your nomination, the email will be sent to your agent/you. Then they may request medical/pc as well on the same day, which is my case.
AAT Question!
My 187 visa was refused in October 2019, I applied to the AAT in November 2019. It has been 36 months.
I was wondering if anyone else had a similar time line and have heard anything about their appeals?

Also, does anyone know if the process is faster if the decision is substituted, not remitted?
