Currently states have different quarantine requirements . Mostly vaccinated do not have to isolate or quarantine and soon won’t have to take a test on entry from abroad.there are still some isolation requirements for unvaccinated people over 12.  These vary by state and may be reduced in the coming weeks.

Hi, thank you - yes - my info is the same as yours, we are traveling in late June 2022 to Brisbane, 2 Vaccinated Adults with two kids, one 9 and the other 13, unvaxxed. The way I read the regulations - Specifically for Queensland - it seems he is regarded as VAxed since he is accompanied by two Fully Vaxxed Adults, so we would not be required to quarantine/isolate him/us, under the current rules as at 14 April 2022, but it may change today, for better or worse- seems it may ease up.

We are very attached to our cars, aren't we, and tax implications and considerations make it a difficult but necessary consideration.

Where can I read up on this topic, who qualifies, what are the rules and the tax implications?

Thank you, Ken. I have ..well I think I have figured it all out, and I hope to summarize it here a bit later. when I have all my ducks in a row. I have many questions.   I would love to start with this one:

Is it possible that the institution that handles your SIV investments, could use a portion of that as security, to lend you the funds to buy a residential property?

The reason is that the SIV money is all in your personal name, whereas the greater portion of all your other assets would be in the names of your companies, and the free cash would be severely limited most of the time, as it was already an effort get the SIV amount in your own name, as opposed to the family trust companies?

Children aged 12 to 17 years, who aren't vaccinated or have only had one dose of a vaccine, can travel to or from Australia on a Qantas aircraft where they are:

Note- I have done a lot of homework, the problem is that the nuance and language use is of such that you really need to get the inside word on what is accepted practice and when it is due to change where for what state. Theoretically, 188c (SIV) is "Exempt"

Who does not need a travel exemption?

You can enter Australia without applying for a travel exemption if you are in an exempt category. You are in an exempt category and do not need to apply for a travel exemption if you:

International passenger arrival caps are currently in place at Australia’s major international gateways. These caps in most States are now largely focused on unvaccinated arrivals into Australia who are required to go into managed quarantine.

These caps limit the number of passengers international airlines can carry to Australia on each flight. However, exemptions from quarantine and the caps are now available for fully vaccinated travellers including Australian citizens, permanent residents and immediate family members and a range of foreign visa holders entering into New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia.

Hello Everybody.

Been reading a lot of your posts and decided to take the plunge and join even though I am not a pommy - have to confess. My 13 Y.o. is not vaccinated, we are - we need to do the first entry for my 188c (SIV), and we seek a solution where we don't need to isolate him. Due to it being an Austrade application, we can enter any state. Please advise, if you can.

Steve. This is my first post. Well, it is not a new topic so it is probably not really a post. Anyway. You are obviously doing great work and helping so many people. So here I am. Please feel free to tell me where I should go and what I should do as a newbie to comply with the generally accepted practice on the site, as I am completely new and inexperienced at this, and I don't know the norms and practices yet. I would like to introduce myself quickly: My name is Dirk, I have completed and received my 188c through Austrade, Investments through mafinancial.com i.e. Moelis, and before we could do the first entry, covid happened. We are late to it, but I need to do the first entry now - to any state- due to Austrade Application. My wife and I are vaccinated but my 13 yo son is not vaccinated and it is going to stay that way for the foreseeable future, due to personal reasons. So I am here to find out the exact sources where I can monitor the conditions of entry for 12 to 17-year-olds accompanied by vaccinated parents. We can only visit with the kids during school holidays, then I stay longer, but this is just the first entry, we are obviously trying to avoid isolation. If you could give me a pointer, I would hugely appreciate it. We would probably do our first entry 1 July 2022, if possible, and probably to Sydney.
