As part of my, now normal, 3am email check, we finally got the golden email! Almost exactly 8 months since we applied we have been granted our visa.

I was a nominated for a non-pmsol role and had two S56 Requests For Information, one for employment history and the other was for a new born medical.

I hope my timeline gives others in a similar position a guide to the current processing times.

    Good luck to everyone waiting!

Wahoo! Well done and congratulations!!! Enjoy the celebration

Hi KAG86 just looking at your timescales and if it’s like ours and also the other similar family you should be due it this week/early next week! Fingers crossed . keep us posted!!!

Same here more info submitted Monday last week. I believe it could take between 45-60 days for grant so I'm not holding my breadth for quick turn around otherwise I will lose the plot.

I just logged on and realised even though I’d submitted the documents and status received that there’s a little blue box at the bottom of the screen to say you submission of al info confirmation. I missed that and have now clicked it. That’s probably cost me a week!!! Anyway most of your probably know but I’m usually quite meticulous and missed it, so thought I’d share in case anyone else has. Visa now says final assessment

  4. Excellent. We just got a reply today from a query we sent on friday morning (Australia time) regarding s56 and now we know we only have 1 thing to do (another statutory declaration) we think it’s should be nailed down the next week or so. My partner’s employer at WA Health was contacted today as well to say that the visa from a work perspective has been approved. My statutory declaration is being notarised this “arvo” and I’ll scan and attach to immi account then and hopefully that’ll be it.

Where are you guys moving to? We’re off to Perth.

As I understand it, it's not really a question of "just".  The 186 requires the company to supply a huge amount of financial and other information, and they would usually hire an agent to help them put all of that together.  However if they're used to hiring people from overseas, they may know it well enough not to need help - but in that case, they should be able to give you an idea how long it normally takes.

Well it’s WA health so pretty sure done it before and they say it takes as long as it takes. I asked if they can push along but to know avail

Didn't the company use an agent?  Are they used to doing this kind of thing?

The company (for us) just did the nomination and then we have to lodge our own visa or use an agent. When I worked there on a temporary visa previously the company did it all but that was ten years ago.

  7. Yep I saw that. Updates each month. Well let’s keep fingers crossed. It still surprises me that they take this long. Especially when on the pmsol. Not much of a priority!! Oh well. I’ve resigned myself to a summer in England in my head.

just have to all agree if you get it or anything, to post on here-that’ll probably be last thing on our minds but be good to do it!

I have a question and hope someone could fill me in. I know its only been a month since the lodgement of application however, I forgot to mention that nomination was applied for separate and was approved early Jan does this mean our application will be processed much quicker or is it luck of the draw.

We had our nomination in December so I just think we have to wait to the timescales. I’m going to put to back of mind and get on with things otherwise I’ll go mad just waiting

My timeline is exactly the same as Mrandmrsp now I'm juss sitting hear grinding my finger nails.

    186 ens DE

    24/02/2022 Visa lodged

    11/03/2022 medicals cleared

Partner is also on PMSOL she is Mental health nurse.

Now we juss waiting and hopping for any kind of movement.

Kind of comforting to know someone else in my shoes. Lets keep each other informed. On another note do you or anyone know if it's possible to get a 482 TSS visa whilst waiting for the 186 to come through? It would be same employer.

  10. Anyone know the approx times for a Nurse.

We’ve applied for 186 Ens DE

    23/02/2022 visa lodged

    3/3/2022 medicals cleared.

My partner is on the priority PMSOL as she’s a critical care nurse.

    All paperwork/proof/criminal checks everything submitted.

I know what the immigration timescales are but has anyone recently gone over as a nurse on 186 ens?

any help or guidance on timelines would really help!!
