  1. Hello everyone 🙂

I am hoping someone could please help regarding the Partner Visa 309/100. I am currently on the Partner Visa 309 and I have now been invited to submit my evidence for the 100.

I have a tonne of evidence from the last 2 years (mortgage documents, engagement, travel documents, joint bank accounts, joint photos, joint social media posts, a brief statement/update for our case officer, form 888's etc) however I just wondered about the police checks and some other bits.

    1) 309 was granted 4th April 2022 and we moved to Australia in February 2023. Do I need another UK police check even though I was only in the UK for 11 months prior to moving to Australia? I'm wondering if I would be best getting one to save any delays.

    2) I have my AFP police check, does my sponsor need this too?

    3) Do I need to complete a Form 929 even though I updated our address via Immi?

    4) We are planning to get married late October 2025 - will this affect our visa if it is still processing? Or would we simply let Immi know?

    5) Is there a checklist for evidence requirements anywhere? I've been following the Step by Step on Immi (which I done for the 309) but I'm just looking to double check in case there is anything I have missed!

Thank you so much for any help/advice.

    Kayleigh 🙂

Personally, I would get them done now and the police checks, if you haven't already done so. Many applications in the UK are still going through quickly.

    Hi Kayleigh,

    Yes it was so quick!

Yes we arranged the health check straight away, there are only a few options of places to go to have this done so may involve a day trip that needs organising in advance.

Above Paul is a good source of knowledge so always best to go by what he says.

    Good luck

Hello both, this is a wee thank you as my 309 visa was granted this week, exactly 8 weeks after lodging 🎉 I really appreciate your advice on this thread and answering my questions! Thank you again! Take care X

  3. Thank you so much Paul!
I have uploaded my ACRO police certificate & as I worked in the US I’m waiting to get my police clearance from there so have uploaded my receipt of this in the meantime.

I’ve emailed an Aussie recommended health assessment centre so once they reply I’ll try get booked in as quickly as I can. Thank you very much for your advice it’s so appreciated!

Thanks, Im not concerned that it wont be approved, our kids have just been granted citizenship, only took 3 weeks. Ive submitted the application and uploaded all the documents i had. Same day ive received a message to book the medical which i am doing now.

Question - Do i need to apply for UK police clearance now along with filling out Form80 (Personal particulars for assessment including character assessment) I think i missed this before on the list of requirements, not sure if you have to submit this or wait to see if you are asked for it?

Form 80 ask heaps of the same questions i have already answered in the online application! Seems unnecessary!

    Hey Emmajane,

Congrats on your visa being granted so quickly btw (noticed on another thread!)

I had a wee question I was hoping you could help with if you don't mind?

I lodged my partner visa last night (I'm in the UK) and it mentions under 'health assessment' to organise my health checks. Did you go ahead and organise your health check at this point, or did you wait until you got an actual message in your Immi account to organise these?

I'm seeing lots of comments from people who don't organise their health assessment for a while due to the processing times, so just wondered what your experience was like.

    Thanks so much!

    Kayleigh 🙂

  5. Hello!

I have a little bit of a tricky one and I was hoping someone has had a similar experience..

I am planning to submit my Partner visa application before the end of 2021.

I am a UK citizen, and I worked in America from June 2011 until May 2012.

As per the Australian Government website, it states that I must obtain a criminal background check from any country I have lived in for 12 months within the last decade.

I will be able to get a UK disclosure no issues, however for the American one I must get my fingerprints taken at a local police station, send them off to the FBI who then provides an identity history summary or 'rap sheet'.

My question being, will this be required if I haven't technically worked in America for 12 months within the last decade, due to the time frame of when I am submitting it and when I worked there. I was just looking for some advice really as I'm in two minds whether to just send off my fingerprints now 'just in case' and to potentially stop any additional delays or would I have to wait until my case officer requests this specifically?

Thanks so much in advance! x
