the answer is positive.
Any Visa would be counted, as long as you've never been in Australia without a valid visa, even a couple of hours.

What's the maximum time you heard? my employer did my security check for employment and it comes back in an hour, so I am wondering why it is taking so long.
did you submit your overseas police check? Or you might have changed your name before?
those factors may make your waiting time pretty variable.

Does anyone get any idea, if the labor comes in power, would the processing speed up?

My Citizenship Application was approved in March 2022
I still did not receive citizenship ceremony invite and waiting for more than 12 months from approval date now
Is there anyone here from Brisbane City Council?
Anyone received ceremony invite for 9 May 2022 or 30 May 2022 at Brisbane City Council?
When was your application approved?
when was your application date and invited to test?

I had my interview and test today. Received the approval within one hour.
Applied for citizenship: sept 2020
Invitation: January 2022
Test & interview: 11th Feb 2022
Approved: 11th Feb 2022
Location: Melb City Council
I'm from Europe
Question: What is the wait time currently in Melbourne for the ceremony invite? Anyone had experience lately?
Thanks
It doesn't make any difference whether you came from Europe or India.
Currently ceremony waiting period could be estimated from 6 to 12 months in Vic.

Hi all. Finally got a ceremony for Nov 12. Exactly 3 months from Application to Ceremony! So excited to finally call myself Australian! City of Salisbury, SA
I'm in the same council as you are. would you advise how you received the inviation letter of ceremony? by post to your home address or just email?
thanks.

they might ask you for evidence of current address. If you can manage that, I don't see anything wrong with Airbnb or Earhcnc.
but keep in mind that council may send you invitation of ceremony via post mail to a solid address, which you probably need to update it again.

Surely she knows what first means. It means the earliest of 2 things,
2016 is the first visa and 2017 is the second visa.
What if there’s break of 2 visa? Would that reset her first date to arrival of the second one?

As long as you were not unlawful in Australia, you can use the visitor visa date.
Thanks Paul

Hi guys,
I used to come to Au on a visitor's visa back 3 years ago, which I counted as my first arrival date.
While I got my PR 2 years ago, and stayed in Australia since then. but there's a 2 months gap between my visitor's visa expiring date and PR granted date.
My question is , which date should I consider as my lawful residency starting date? date of arrival after PR granted or my Visitor's Visa?
Thanks in advance!

I assumed you have fixed it now, as it's September already.
May I know if you have any visa during the period from 26/6/2018 - 21/8/2018?
thanks.
