Where are the applicants at the moment. Onshore or offshore?
Offshore, how about you? Also if you did not get contacted since last year. Did the documents not expire?

Hi @Sash123 I had a call from the department last week asking for the 2nd VAC in addition to the email. Speaking with the representative they indicated new approvals would be forthcoming in the first few weeks of July as all places for this 2020-2021 year have been fulfilled. Let's hope for some good news next month
Lucky you, we are march 2016, still nothing.

Hi everyone, this site has been so helpful to me in getting through the visa application amidst COVID restrictions I need some advice though. On 3/6/21 I received the second VAC request for my 143 parent visa. I paid it on 4/6/21 and haven't heard back since. It was an offshore application but I am currently in Australia on a visitors visa. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Most people on this site have said that their visa was granted the day after the second vac was paid. I'm not sure why mine is taking so long, can't help worrying.
Are you a parent or dependant? What was your date of application?

I was expecting the department required to redo the health check or police check or staffs ! But my agency gave a call and need me to make a payment ASAP because they will issue the visa within tomorrow or after Easter!
finger crossed !
Did your agent call you or the department?

Hi everyone
I just got the VAC 2nd payment request today !
At least they are processing The application now .
Congratulations, I saw the applicants are offshore. Did they have to do any documents again? Also did you email department for any progress update? Or got request out of blue?
-
Happy for everyone who received their visa but I feel like we are only one left from Pre April 2016.

Is it possible that the June 16 applicants are currently onshore?
This applicant was offshore. But requested 2nd vac in January and received visa this week apparently. Department says its strict date order. Not sure how this date order works where june comes before march.
-
Are there anymore pre may 16 offshore applicants awaiting visa? Saw june 16 applicant get their visa. And when we email department the reply is they cant do much as they process according to strict date criteria. We are march 2016.

No I mean IMMI are working on Aged Parent applications subclass 804 now and the 143s are stuck in May 2016 so you won't know until they start again requesting docs for June 2016 because they release by queued dates. Noting they need to finish off those 143 cases onshore who are paid and waiting for visa grants so we will see some movement end of this month, April, and then July from what I have heard and seen on the forum.
Well lets see, been hoping for best for 60 months now. Was supposed to be 18 months and website used to say back then could be earlier.
-
I did read about this concession and it also says that it will not affect parent visa processing. By which I assume its queue. But according to what you are telling me is if a 2018 applicant is sitting in oz, they would be asked further docs in july 2021 instead of june 2016. Which is again very unfair.

Hi 143mag, there was an earlier post that IMMI had reached the quota for 143 visas with the onshore concessions to be handled on 24 March. I heard from others you will go into the 1 July program year so possibly not much you can do now. They are trying to fit 6 parent visa categories into the 4,500 visas before 30 June which is a big reduction in the scheme of what has been done in the past. I think their current focus is onshore work and the concessions have stopped the movement for offshore applications for a long time. They did update the website with what cases released from the queue too last month as well as showing more progress onshore.
Where you getting those progress stats from? So come july they still going to focus on people who are onshore? Thats not fair.
-
So the department just replied saying we cannot prioritise your file and to be fair with other applicants as it’s strictly date order and we just have to wait. We being March 2016. May 16 got their visas. Not sure what to do.

Sadly with the numbers being so low they may have used up all the places
I thought that as being a possibility. I have not met a single march 2016 offshore who hasn't received grant yet. Feel like the unlucky one.

Definitely not
Not sure how to get their attention, I feel like they have just stopped asking for 2nd vac. Been in fb group. Heard no one getting 2nd vac in Feb month.

@143mag just keep emailing, they will be busier doing some onshore visa grants mid March so get in quick with the emails
Would 3 emails in a month be too much? Do not want to annoy the case officer.

***Everything I reply to is my own expereince.
Well I say if your DOCS are expering and you think they will ask again then re do them.
But I feel like it depends on your case. If you/your parents are overseas then get the DOCS done again.
If they are onshore you may get possible extension
Health 6 months
Police etc also a few months.
Hope this helps. We are offshore, and feel like every time our file reaches near finalisation, theres a change in rules which are not in our favour.

Yes, that is common.
Email replies come. Keep emailing every couple of days (if you are needeing a reply that is) and eventually you will get a reply.
I think the volume of emails they get is enormous. In last 3 weeks, emailed twice, Should I try again today? What get their attention? I did mention my docs about to expire? Thanks for responses.

This is so unfair and shows that they do not process in date order as some applicants in May 2016 have had their visas granted. Is there not a number for the department you can ring to speak to someone, I may be wrong but I’m sure I’ve seen a telephone number posted on this site for home affairs.
Have you tried the parents@homeaffairs.gov.au email as well as the PVC team?
I really hope you hear from them soon, good luck.Called 131881, they said we dont give updates on a file processing, and i should email parents@homeaffairs… I emailed couple of times but no reply.
