Hi Jun
From what you have stated, you may have difficulty as you need to demonstrate your residency in Queensland for 2 years to be eligible for nomination for the 888.
You should certainly seek some advice on this from an RMA as you must be nominated by QLD to apply and you would have agreed to the Queensland requirements at the 188 stage. Thanks for your advice. I heard there is a swapping between primary applicant and secondary applicant (provided that the bond is in both name) and therefore secondary applicant can be the one apply for 888 if the secondary one had resided in QLD for 2 years. Am I correct?

I am primary holder of 188B visa of Queensland nomination. How should I do or am I eligible to apply 888B visa if my family has been resided in Queensland for 3 years but myself has been living in Sydney due to work reason?

Hi King3,
I received my 188b visa in Nov 2019. My first entry date was Nov 2020. Since I could not travel owing to the pandemic, I asked for an extension with BIIP Adelaide and received a facilitation notice that permits me to travel anytime before my must arrive date. I am marking my first entry into Melbourne this week. Hope this helps.
Cheers,
DJT
Great to hear that and hope everything goes smooth on your travel.
May I have the email address of BIIP Adelaide or apply online?

Meanwhile, as per the link below, due to COVID 19, There is some sort of flexibility to First Date of Entry

according to Covid 19 of Home Affairs website, temporary visa holders are free to leave Australia but of course not easy or impossible to come back OZ. The tricky point is the right of 188 visa holder back OZ is same as PR or citizen. In other words, 188 visa holders sounds free.to in and out of OZ??
-
Anyone has idea 188 visa holder after first trip to OZ due to fulfill the requirement of First Day Entry , can fly back to Home country? Any exemption need to be applied before travelling?

Does anyone know how long it will take to receive the certificate of inscription of designated investment?
I took a month to receive due to Covid 19 chaos of air mail. They usually issue the certificate within a week or two after well received the funding.

Anyone know Health check is required again or not when applying 888B visa after 4 years 188B granted?

There are no specific requirements re where these funds are invested however they would be looking for you to settle in Queensland and likely buy or rent a property there.
Big Thanks to your advice. Settle in QLD is definitely but my personal opinion I do not perfer buying a property under TR status cos too many additional costs and uncertainty on becoming PR by the reason of for example health issue. Besides, any currency I can hold, right? Cos I prefer spare some for buying US or overseas stocks before buying a property after turning into PR.

Regarding the 888 nomination, this still requires nomination from State or Territory. They will be looking at evidence of you moving the extra 750k to Australia within 2 years of visa grant. The expectation is THA these funds will be used as settlement funds for housing, supporting yourself financially etc.
For QLD, is there any specific investment requirement on this 750k? How about Invest in Aussie ETF, US stock etc securities? Your any advice is highly appreciated.
