Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum but here are the current details of my citizenship application process!
Citizenship App: 17 July 2020
Test Invitation: 26 October 20
Original Test Date: 4 DecemberRe-scheduled Date: 4 November
Approval:
Ceremony: TBA
Council: Adelaide (SA) / City of Campbelltown CouncilCongrats. I've found that SA, WA is really fast, many of them got test appointment just within 2-3 months. So sad to be in VIC, they even haven't resumed the test in VIC regional. I hope they can reopen soon, a huge backlog here

Meanwhile in Victoria...
I hope we start hearing good news soon.
I'm waiting to see how they gonna clear the backlog in Victoria when it reopens. Simply ridiculous to close down all the test centers even super low risk.

Anyone changed the state after application? Will they arrange the test appointment according to your new resident address? Probably yes but just want to ask the experience. Also when we got a test appointment, let's say Sydney CBD can we reschedule by select a near by test place like Paramatta or only can reschedule at the same test center? Thank you.

@Ricomate I applied last year December 04, 2019 and proposed test centre is Sydney CBD. I haven't heard anything yet.
I've just applied from Melbourne and since all the test centers here are closed so I selected proposed test center at other state. Do you think they will arrange according to my choice or according to my resident address?

Hey Guys, Looking for your some advise here. I am living in Sydney at the moment. I have applied for my Citizenship in May and considering current circumstances it doesn't look like I will hear back anytime soon. So I have decided to Continue with my Masters degree in Data Science at Uni of Western Australia. For this semester I can study online , but for next semester in February 2021 I have to move up there. I am considering making a move sometime in December. So I am wondering how does it effect my Citizenship application.Think I have to provide new address proof for sure but DO I have to provide another photo signed by someone from Perth ? And how would I go about changing the test centre etc. Thanks for your time
Hi, have you got a test now? Sydney already reopened. I'm in VIC and thinking to move to Sydney haha.

Hey All.
I had my test scheduled in VIC for April 2020 first, which got postponed to August and then further postponed indefinitely. Now I have a chance to move to WA. Question is whether I should wait for testing to open in VIC or should I move and apply for an address change to enter the queue for test in WA? Will they process my application again from start? How long does the address change take?
Hi Mamir, have you decided to move? Don't know when VIC will reopen

Is any update on Sydney test and interview centre. It seems like they are not working and putting applicants in deep depression..
Ahh I'm thinking to move to Sydney from VIC. I heard that Parramatta already reopened and someone already got tested. According to Home Affairs website, Sydney office is reopened too.

Thank you for that! We were going to relocate this year and then covid hit. Now I'm pregnant and it seems quite urgent to move before I have my baby. Fingers crossed they open
borders November/December. Good luck!
Yeah I hope so. Don't want to pay A$2,700-3,000 for hotel quarantine :(. I read an article few days ago they said 1/3 backlog is in Vic (approx. 50,000 applicants). I'm not sure the government has any plan to speed up. Canada is in progress to allow online test now, I hope Australia would adopt a change in near future.

Hello everyone, my husband and i live in regional VIC and will relocate to QLD in Nov/Dec. I know I can update my address but I was wondering if that automatically changes where I sit my test? what else do I need to do?
thank you!
I called and asked Home Affairs, they said the test center will be arranged following the new address. I'm thinking to relocate too, too much depression under Dan. They said if you change the address or driving license, just update in Immi and wait :). You can call and double check.

Then it seems no hope for Melbourne tho? :). I called them but they said they don't know when the test can be resumed. I'm thinking to relocate to other states but not sure which one would be faster. NSW is a good choice?
