You cannot switch from onshore to offshore.  Were you on a bridging visa before you left the country and if so, did you apply for a BVB before you left Australia?  If you didn't, your visa application could be cancelled.

yes, I did ..hopefully, I can come back before BVB expired.....

@AmberD. I'm curious, have / did you tell Immigration that you are no longer onshore? If so, it's likely your status would have been updated.

Also, if you haven't told them and they find out after the fact, there might be a few issues.

yes, I did~ I also applied for Bridging B for 6 months, but they give me 1 year .........

hey folks, I’m curious to ask if anyone has had their application approved being “Offshore” recently?

hi, I applied onshore in 2020, but I went back to my country in Jan 2021 due to a family issue..so not sure if i should category as offshore...

I got my sponsorship approved in Apr 2021, and they ask further information for my Visa. I updated in Apr as well.

    nothing happened after.

    hope it helps.

    Visa : 186 DE

Nomination and  Visa Applied - 7 Feb 2020

Onshore : Yes (I apply for my offshore spouse as well)

    No. of applicants : 2

    Role : Accountant (General)

Request for more information: 15 March 2020

The visa hasn’t been granted and I’m based in Sydney. Are there anyone who applied around the same time with same occupation?

Would you think the reason it is not granted is because my spouse is offshore?

    Thanks!

on the same boat with you, I am onshore and partner offshore.. asked for further information in Aug, changed to further assessment sin Aug 17, no updating.

  6. hi, Guys,

I am thinking to apply for a bridging visa b and go back for half a year since I really got homesick.

from your view, will that affect my processing time? I mean I applied as shore if I go out to Australia and updated my overseas address, will I become an offshore application?

    many thanks in advance,
