  1. Hi guys,

    I got my golden email this morning! It's been a tough way to get here, 189 -> 190 -> 457 -> 186 DE.

Never give up if you really want it, fight for it, adjust your own mindset.

Hope everyone of you get your golden email eventually. You have my best wishes.

Thank you for all the information sharing and all the support you guys give when everything seemed so dark.

    Best!

    • Congratulations 9
  2. Got my golden email today!

They approved my nomination and went through my application.

    S56 requested medical.

However, Bupa is not taking any visa medical at the moment amid COVID-19. My agent has provided booking and refunding evidence for extension to immigration.

This would be the last step of this long journey. Hopefully the wait will end soon.

    • Congratulations 6

    Hi Guys,

I've been here a silent reader for few months and today I'm sharing my visa status with you all.

    • Visa : 186 DE
    • Role : Developer Programmer
    • Nomination applied- 13 DEC 2019
    • Visa Applied- 05 FEB 2020
    • Onshore : Yes
    • No of applicants 2️⃣
    • State: VIC
    • Nomination Status - Approved 10 Aug 2020
    • Medical requested - 25 July 2020

At the moment, I was unable to make the medical appointment as all the Bupa centres in VIC have been closed due to stage 4 restrictions. I'm just wondering, whether any of you going through the same situation as I am.

same here. my visa status haven't budge but Bupa has already canceled my appointment at 22 Aug.

I could be wrong but my thought is the immigration might already aware of the situation like Bupa said in their website. They might allow extra time for you to get medical.

There is nothing you can do. This is a "out of your control" situation.

However, this does mean you need to wait EVEN LONGER, like 3-4 months longer, which is frustrating.

Thank you! I know...hardly seems real that its taken this long. In a nutshell our original migration agent made a ton of mistakes. We got a new one and it was all corrected in Jan this year. So this news is very welcome relief. Ee really thought that original agent did soem real damage. So far the damage is time and lots of stress!

Did you end up prepare 2 or 3 sets of paperwork? Those agents are very irresponsible. They are playing with people's future!

I think it's been about a year since i posted but finally some progress!

We've heard back today from our agent that my partner has passed the character test!!! woohoo.

Hoping to hear back soon but now expecting the hurdle of another health assessment given ours was carried out over a year ago. Think wait times are quite long right now for the medical assessments. But we're almost there after being in this process for over 2 years!!!!!

How is this possible?! 2 years!

But you've got some good new eventually. Congrads

    Cook 186 TRT VIC 457 4years plys

    nom and visa September 2019

    Status - received

TRT's official time is 4-7 months, plus COVID-19, it is easily to drag to 7-10 months.

Still, very frustrating! If your case has been dragged to 11 months, chances are a lot of your paperworks will expire and you need to go through this pain all over again.

Nope application still untouched, My MA advise we would get general reply if contacted, since immigration is busy with other visa applications and exception for travel.

it might be worthy a contact in my opinion.

My MA did when my 457 has passed it's 5th month and still in received status. At least they give you a reason, which is official, not just guessing around by a MA.

Since DHA hasn't change their official processing timeline, the long pending cases deserve answers.

Currently medical fields are getting prioritized, hopefully, other applications should start processing soonish, please update timeline in the signature. Thanks

Have you tried to contact DHA? Your application seems pending for a very long time. Any CO has ever contacted you?

The main point is “Australians first”.

but the people like us, holding working visa for years and already paid for the tax for years also paid for visa fees?

that is what we deserve? Hehe

You are on the 5th month without even a tiny bit of progress. Sorry to hear.

Do you know any of the developers has been granted since COVID-19?

As of the news, your occupation should not be affected though.

  12. Hi,

I am new here and would like to share the info:

    • Visa : 186 DE (2 years on 457)
    • Nomination and  Visa Applied - 24 Mar 2020
    • Onshore : Yes
    • State: VIC
    • No. of applicants : 1
    • Role : Developer Programmer
    • Nomination Status - received
    • Visa Status - received

My English is going to expire in 3 months. Do I need to take a new test?

Do they count the date of expiration when I lodge the visa, or they only look at it when they actually "look" at it?
