I have replied to Emma in the Facebook group but for others' benefit I will repeat the steps here:

    1. Book return flights to Singapore that have a short transit period in Singapore.

    2. Advise your case officer and asks them if your tickets look alright for your mum to be granted PR before her flight back to Australia.

    3. Your airline will likely contact you for visa documents that allow your mum to travel outside of Australia (as a temporary visa holder) and permit to come back as a PR.

    4. tell the airline of your situation. They will likely make arrangements with Australian Border Force, provided with your case officer's approval and cooperation, to let your mum go through customs in Singapore, then get granted PR before she boards the plane to Singapore. Otherwise she will not be allowed to depart at all.

    5. Then it is just a matter of keeping herself safe on flights, taking health precautions, etc. As a transfer passenger from Australia who does not go out of immigration clearance to enter Singapore, your mum can stay in the transfer terminal of Changi Airport before she gets on the flight back to Australia.

    6. Quarantine in Australia.

    Thanks for your info!

However I have contacted Singapore Airlines today and they seems to not knowing anything about this and said this is Embassy’s work :(

    Hi

When you say 'school fees', are you studying full time and so, what are you studying (i.e. Degree, Post-grad?).

Let me start with saying that I don't have a lot of experience in this area, I just thought I'd reply because nobody else has.

Looking at the visa eligibility details, it says you are a member of the main applicant's family unit if you are:

    • However, when you search for dependent child under the Glossary, it states

In this context, to be honest, I'd find it difficult to say (as a third party) that you are a dependent. Is it that you have been studying full time and therefore relying on your parents financial support? I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, again, I have no experience on this so what I'm saying may not be all that accurate.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

I am still a full time student studying Diploma degree. I hope I will be ok because I applied for this visa before the new rules changed so age doesnt matter to my case I think. What I am more concerned is how to prove, what sort of documents are required. 😞

@JeremyNg266 Honestly, they did not ask me for further documentation yet.

However, I am still studying full-time student, living with my sister, work under 20 hours per week in school days, and receiving roughly every 3-month money from my parents account and I am using their bank card here in Australia if needed.

What about you, I am wondering how you would answer the dependent questionnaire?

    Thanks

They have asked me to provide everything else and this dependant evidence is the last thing they ask I think. I will provide them with all the receipts showing my mom sends me money monthly, pay slip shows that I work very minimal hours every week, academic transcript, CoEs and schools fees receipts. That’s all I can think of at the moment. Gonna fill the questionnaire as a full time student basically, only concentrate on studying nothing else, just study and study and study for every questions they ask, no intention to get married or find any job. Not really sure tbh.

  4. HI all lovely people.

I have a question to ask. How would you prove yourself as a dependant person for visa 143. I am currently at my last stage of visa 143 where they ask me to prove I am a dependant. I have proofs showing my mom sends me $2000AUD (sometimes $3000AUD) monthly, schools fee receipts, CoEs and academic transcripts, ATO report showing I work less than 5 hours every week in the last 4 years. Do you think this should be enough? What other evidence should I include?

I am currently 26 and applied for 143 when I was 22 before the new age rules changed. I would like to share my timeline here too.

    1. Visa143 lodged and accepted on 13/04/2016

    2. Requested for additional documents on 22/01/2020

    3. Lodged all required additional documents including health check, police check, form80 and AOS documents on 03/03/2020

    4. Requested to prove dependancy on 12/03/2020

... Currently preparing for step 4.

    Read this ..     https://www.acacia-au.com/including-family-members-changes-from-19-November-2016.php

it may give you some answers.  I think you need to be under 23 and still studying to be considered dependent.  If you’re over 23 you have to prove you are incapacitated to work...maybe speak to an agent to clarify?  Good luck 😎😎

I am currently 26. I applied for visa 143 before the rules changed so I think I am still OK. 😞

Not so much the amount but the proportion. Are you more reliant on your parents than any other source, not just for income but accommodation etc?also age is important.

My mom sends me $2000AUD every month regularly from the day I applied for visa 143 and I am currently 26. I applied for 143 when i was 22 in the beginning of 2016 so the new age rules do not apply to me I think

  7. HI all lovely people.

I just have a question to ask. I am currently in the last stage of visa 143 where they are asking me to prove I am a dependant person. Roughly how much money to be received by parents will be considered as dependant? or How would you prove yourself are a dependant person.

    Thanks all and much appreciated.
