  1. Hi everyone

I will be turning  32 in June and obviously need to get my visa EOI in before then as I will lose 5 points. The problem is I am stuck in France due to covid and my skills assessment is at home in the UK waiting to be sent off. I'm not sure when I will get home to do this but hope that when I do I will be able to get it sent off to ASMIRT and have it back on time to apply for my visa before I turn 32 in June. How long is this taking approx for everyone? Is there a big delay due to covid or have things sped up? I have had 2 friends who have had their visas approved abnormally quick so I am wondering if it will be the same for the skills assessment..

    Thanks in advance

  2. hi guys

I'm a radiographer having trouble finding the right form for the skills assessment from ASMIRT- the one I found https://www.asmirt.org/media/2307/2307.pdf requires you to tick one of these 2 options:

There are two types of skills assessments...
Temporary Assessment- This is for those undertaking or about to undertake a supervised practice program and who hold provisional registration with AHPRA
Permanent Assessment- This is for those who have completed their degree who have either finished their supervised practice program or who are not required to undertake a supervised practice program. These candidates will hold general registration with AHPRA.

I didn't realise we needed to register with AHPRA before doing skills assessment- did you have to do this? or did you have a different form?

    Thanks!

  4. Hello everyone

I'm at the beginning of what looks like will be the very long process of moving to Oz... I am a radiographer with 7 years experience hoping to get either the 189 or 190 visa.

I am doing my CPD for my skills assessment now and I am wondering if I have enough...the guidelines say 3 years worth of CPD but can anyone put a number on how many entries they have done? So far I have 6 as I am struggling to find things I have a certificate from as I know that is essential.

If anyone can shed a light on this topic or has any other useful information regarding the process I would be super grateful!

    Thanks in advance!
