Where did you read this?
There was an article somewhere,
But it was based on the data from the Department's website basically.
Just 50 invites in April in comparison to 1,750 in March. Link below

Have read in the news recently that the number of the invites for other PR streams (like 189/190) declined by 97% in April.. Not a good sign

Thank you @devProgrammer!!
Just a few more questions:
1. If visa is already lodged (March 2020) and 1 requirement is about to expire on May 2020,is it still valid? Or will they be requesting for a new one?
2. If my 457 visa is expiring on March 2021, and worst case(hopefully not) -PR is not yet approved, will they be granting us a bridging visa or will they be extending my 457? Im offshore btw which is why i didnt get a bridging visa upon 186 lodgement.
Hope someone can help clear these questions pls. Thank u so much!
You need to be in Australia to be able to apply for a bridging visa..

Hi All,
I’ve applied nomination and visa 186 on 7 Dec 2019 but my MA says that still no updates on my case. Can someone guide me how long will it takes for ICT Security Specialist to get nomination approve?
Secondly, If I take 4 weeks unpaid leave from my employer will it make any affect on my 186 visa process ?I would really appreciate If someone can clear my points. And I really hope that we all get our PR granted mail asap.
If you'are applying through the MA - it's the best to ask your MA whether your holiday will have any impact on the application..

Processing times for 186 DE stream were updated today and they increased back again. 75% of applications - 4 months (was 83 days), 90% - 6 months

Have been reading this topic for a while now. Just decided to share my timelines as well

I had a similar situation, though I applied through other occupation. The Department requested evidence for registration. I provided the letter from my employer stating the the role I'm working in does not require compulsory registration. This seemed to be enough as my visa's been granted
Good luck!
