I have asked the same to the Brisbane city council and awaiting their reply. What would happen if i arrive by 7pm for a ceremony which commences by 7.30pm ?Im assuming they asking us to arrive early just to verify the documents and make you sit in the auditorium.below was the info in the email invite-Date: Thursday 1 April 2021Arrival Time: Please arrive an hour and a half before the ceremony commencesCeremony Time: 7.25pm - 8.20pmPlace: The Great Hall, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition CentreregardsNishant

Olivia,
I think it is in Messages section in immi account. But I am also waiting for test invite, so cant confirm. Will wait for someone in group to confirm.
It can go to SPAM inbox. So please keep a watch on SPAM/Promotions folder.
Don't stress, just check couple of times in a week.
The Test invite email came from noreply@mail.appointments.homeaffairs.gov.au and the Subject was :Citizenship Appointment Letter - Brisbane Office .
Its best to keep a watch on your Spam folder incase this goes into it.
The same will also come up in the messages (List of correspondence) section of your citizenship application in the immi account

Congratulations! Was it also approved on the immi account?
Yup it was approved immediately in Immi account, thankfully they didn't ask for more documents, and were happy with what i gave which was pretty basic stuff like birth certificate, QLD drivers license ,electricity bill and passport

Just a quick update i have finished the test today at the Brisbane city office, it was a straightforward and easy process, the officer reviewed my application online and only asked to see my QLD drivers license and i was made to sit the test, i cleared it and the officer said he was satisfied with the application and he is approving me for the ceremony.
He told me there is a 5-6 month wait for the ceremony , hopefully i get it by April 2021 latest, anyways looking at the current situation doesn't look like we travelling international anytime soon..

Hi , am new to this forum. Looking for updates on ceremony invitations for Brisbane city. I got to know the next ceremony is scheduled for 27th April from a mate. Maybe fair to expect invites by 1st of April
Citizenship application: July 2019
Test Date: 6th Jan 2020
Approval: 11th Jan 2020
Ceremony: TBA
Council: Brisbane CityI had sent an email to Brisbane city council for ceremony dates and they sent the below email-
"Brisbane City Council facilitates citizenship ceremonies at City Hall and can only assist with queries regarding the ceremony or ceremony order of events. Upcoming ceremony dates at City Hall for 2020 are 2 March, 27 April, 28 May, 13 July, 10 August, 2 September and 29 October (to be confirmed). New citizens will be sent a letter of invitation to citizenship ceremonies by the Lord Mayor approximately four weeks prior to the event."

Hi all,
I've seen a lot of people mentioning the Acknowledgement email, and I was wondering what that email actually said? Simply that they have received the application? or a little more?
I applied for citizenship on the 12th of February 2020 (impatient, I know!) and it only said that it was submitted. I'm sure this is normal but just wanted a little clarification if anyone had any. I'm in Brisbane and going by what people say, it's a very long processing time here.
Thanks in advance,
Greg
I guess by that they mean the email from
auto-letter-generator@homeaffairs.gov.au- its just an Acknowledgement saying your application is submitted - it comes with a PDF mentioning the Transaction reference number for tracking your application with DHARegardsNishant- 1
