Hi everyone, I haven't been active in the forum but have been watching everyone's progress closely.

I am a dependant applicant in my parents' 143 application (my sister is the sponsor).

Our visa acknowledgement date is 4 March 2016. Our AOS was approved in March 2020 and we submitted further documents for my dependancy in early June 2020, and have been waiting for 2nd VAC request ever since.

My parents are currently offshore while I am in Brisbane, studying my Master. My 23rd birthday is fast approaching, so it has been quite stressful waiting for THAT email.

Hopefully we will hear something soon. Thank you everyone for keeping us posted.

Due to the visa applied before November 2016 I don't think there is any age restriction for dependent, you should be ok as long as you are a full-time student at the time of decision.

My situation is tougher, my brother is finishing university this December and he doesn't want to study any more... all stuffed up!

I’ve mentioned this before, but there is an assumption that parents only come from UK with assets. I seem to remember a list showing the highest number came from Asia? Many of the families from there club together to find the money, and don’t necessarily bring much money with them. After  reading the stories over the years on this forum, not everyone is bringing wealth with them. Many of us are relying on pensions, and after 17 years retired here, pensions haven’t necessarily increased to counter the increased costs of living here.i know several people who have been here as long or longer than us are  struggling as life is now more expensive.

This is the most ignorant post I have seen in this forum... assuming parents from Asia just coming to the country to rotten the public system????

I think most of the Asian parents they wouldn't be bothered to come to Australia if they are not wealthy enough to live comfortably for the rest of their life. Leave alone they won't receive any benefits from the government for the 1st 10 years, and after that who the hell would be able to live on $300q pension per fortnight?

    Regards,

I just got a further request for more information!

Strange as the requests are all that have already been provided (police cert with maiden name on) some sections of the form 80 (which has already been filled out...)

But will be sending back first thing. They must be looking at applications still!

    Hi Nat,

I received the same email from them requesting further information including police check and form 47PA for my dad which already provided, and funny is dated on 15th too.

Our time frame is pretty much identical:)

  5. Woohoo! Just got AOS acceptance letters today! Another step closer!!! I am getting more excited....

They has mentioned in the email they already informed the Immigration department about the outcome. Should I Need to do anything? I remember someone post said you need to email  the letters to the case officer as well????

    Thanks

  6. Hi Everyone,

I am a new member but have been following this group for few months.

I applied for my parent 143 visa on 25th Feb 2016, got a case officer allocated in early Dec 2019 and requested further documents.

AOS applied on 24th December and today I just received a call from Centrelink for interviewing.

I just wonder when I should expect the letter request for bank guaranty? would it be posted to you or via mygov inbox?

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Bic
