  1. Has anyone done the aged parent subclass 804 visa.
I appreciate the boarders are closed at the moment. I really would appreciate linking up with someone who has obtained this visa or has obtained this visa for their aged parent. After 25+ visits and getting on a bit. 70 this year my sons want me to live in OZ permanently.
I would appreciate a link with someone who can give me good guidance or sound information that anyone will share with me.
    thank you & kind regards

  2. I made the decision to move to Australia to be with my two sons, one in Brisbane the other Nr Noosa. I have made 25+ visits to Australia over the years. As I’m getting on a bit 70 this year my sons want me over there. I would qualify for the aged parent visa. So put my home on the market and have a buyer to complete on the 25th March 21. Of course covid has restricted entry into Australia for the foreseeable. All my belongings are pack and inventoried. Have been quoted £5k to ship to Brisbane.   Is this a reasonable price? Is there a way I can do this shipping myself? Any sound advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you &  Kind regards

  3. Hi

I have tried to get into the links (shows error)  you posted on buying a home as I have decided after 20+  Two month visits to see my sons to come on a Aged Parent visa 804.  I am still independent and wish to live very near one of my sons and not with either of them. Can you provide fresh links also any conditions on me buying a home. ie do I have to buy a new build? Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
    kind regards

VERYSTORMY has pretty much covered it off, it is definitely possible for temporary residents/non residents to purchase property (less restrictions if living in Australia and buying a home), see here also: http://www.firb.gov.au/content/real_estate/real_estate.asp here http://www.firb.gov.au/content/guidance/downloads/gn2_jan2012.pdf and here http://www.firb.gov.au/content/guidance/downloads/gn3_jan2012.pdf
