    Hi Sammie

I'm an OT applying for a 190  visa in Tasmania. I have a job offer already and am applying offshore from the UK.

I am hoping they add OTs to the priority skilled migration list ! I get the sense from my employer that they think things may be processed fairly quickly and have said they're going to state a case for me etc.

    Best of luck to you!

I'm an OT with 2 job prospects (Perth and Queensland) and will be submitting my skills assessment soon. There seems to be a dearth of OTs I'm surprised they're not expediting the process.

  2. Thanks for your response.

I've seen elsewhere in this site that immigration may not recognize the experience that one had before the degree. They're a different profession though, so I'm concerned if the same applies to OT. From their experiences one may pass the skills assessment based on the diploma but still fail at the immigration.

  3. Has anyone with a Diploma in Occupational therapy moved to Australia? I'd like to hear the experiences, epecially regarding skills assessment.

I have 10 years OT experience with diploma, only recently I got a Masters, does the experience with the diploma count? Someone please advise.
