  1. As of now I have fulfilled Tasmanian 491 requirements except 1 year stay in Tasmania requirement.

    - Done 1 academic year study(40 academic weeks)

    - Have positive skill assessment

    - Have proficient English

    - Getting 70 pnts with state nomination.

Only catch is By the end of my current student visa(31 Jan 2020) I will be short of 16 days for 1 year stay in Tasmania. On top of that my current visa has condition 8534 No Further Stay, which made me so stressed up.

Can anyone please advice me under these circumstances what chances I have applying for 491 in Tasmania. Or should I give up?

  2. I am currently studying 1 year Bachelors in Applied Science program(with RPL). If after graduation, I start to follow a Diploma In Engineering for one year, Will I be eligible to claim 2 years of Australian Study Requirement? I couldn't find clear instructions and specifications of this 2 Year study requirement.

Any info about this will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks

  3. Thanks Lavers

My job post was not exactly fitter but all the work experience I have is under fitter job description. I got the skill assessment done with 4.5 years of experience+diploma in engineering.

I'm in doubt with EOI overseas work experience criteria. As per its requirements I believe I have 5 points for 3 years. But I heard that it has to be after the skill assessment. Is it true? I know some skill assessments(engineers australia) they state the work experience on the skill assessment it self.

Can I go ahead marking overseas work experience for 3 years or shouldn't I?

  4. Hi

I got positive skill assessment as a General Fitter(323211) with OSAP program through a TRA recognized RTO.

The period of qualification is not stated in the skill assessment sheet. For the EOI it asks the work experience to be stated on the skill assessment it self. or the work experience should be after the date of skill assessment.

I'm confuse with this. Does this means even though I get skill assessment with my work experience, I'm not able to claim points for the same work experience?

    Appreciate any clarification.

    Thanks

  5. I have applied for skill assessment as a fitter(General) through TRA approved RTO and got positive RPL outcome letter from RTO. But there were some complications with my pay evidense and after submitting extra evidenses RTO have submitted the documents to TRA for final process.

My question or rather questions are

Even I got positive RPL outcome letter can TRA still give me a negative outcome?

Since I got positive RPL outcome and given TRA doesn't give me AQF cert III, what options will I have?
